Best Beach town food, vibe and service. We arrived for lunch at 11:45am. Seated inside immediately. Server greeted us shortly after. She asked for our drinks and then returned to take our order. Ordered a cup of New England clam chowder and manhattan clam chowder. Both were delicious and fresh. What you would expect from a place named chowderheads. We order main of Cobb salad with lobster meat. It was so huge. I proclaimed it a monster. Every element was fresh and delicious especially the lobster and chunky blue cheese. The other main was fish and chips with cod. My husband proclaimed the best fish and chips (cod) he’s ever had. I snagged a French fry and a bit which I can say I agree. Perfectly crisp and clean fried. Homemade feel. We will be back.

Just go. Outstanding food, service and ambience. Get the fried cod dinner with slaw and the cornbread with maple butter. The fried clams appetizer is a must. And split a lobster roll and clam chowder. Mmm, great meal reasonably priced.

Waitress was very pleasant. No alcohol, just beer & wine.Very, very limited drink happy hour.No food in happy hour.Only one waitress till around 6PM, so if big party comes in, it will take awhile.Since that was the case, they misread my scallop order and brought me some shrimp ,while they corrected it.Very nice gesture .My scallops were good size, and not much batter (fried),a little tasteless ,but satisfactory.Other fried order we got was fine.Prices were reasonable ,but portions small (4 scallops) around $22.00.Parking easy and free.Handicap accessible.Outdoor dining as well.I would try again.Takes reservations, but was not necessary on a Thursday night.I live and grew up in New England and know something about New England Seafood. This was close, but not home. Thanks for the nice gesture, good service and caring attitude. These are rare traits in the restaurant business ,these days.

Made a reservation for 3 people for Friday night at 5:30 - they accepted the reservation. (spoke to them directly, this was not an online reservation) Upon arrival, we were seated at a table for 2 with an extra chair pulled up to the small table making it a very small table for 3 - not nearly enough room - this was a reservation and they had the table set for us like this ahead of time - Not like we walked in at the last minute on a Friday asking for a table and they squeezed us in. When I inquired about getting a larger table, the server said she’d ask the manager. When she came back to take our order, she said the manager didn’t want to move us but she would inquire again. Should’ve gotten up and left then but my 95-year-old friend was with me and did not want to drag her to another restaurant on a Friday night in season and have to wait somewhere else. That’s why I made a reservation to begin with. We placed our order - 2 lobster dinners and a lobster roll plus sides & wine. No way could they fit all that food on this table for 2. Ask server again about a larger table since no way to fit all food on this one, ask to have manager come over and she says manager won’t come. When I remind her we’ve ordered 2 lobster dinners & a lobster roll - not only a lot of food but big $$ compared to the table next to us who all ordered the $15.99 special - they finally move us to a larger table, which should’ve happened anyway, regardless, and I didn’t say this but we were going to walk out if not. Then we get the overpriced $63 per plate 1.5 lb lobster, which both had a burnt taste to it and the meat for the lobster roll, though didn’t have the burnt taste, was not moist. The server was very nice and apologetic, but the management is less than Professional. This is not the first time I’ve been here but likely will be the last.

The best seafood I have been to that wasn’t in Maine. The clam chowder and lobster bisque was on point and the lobster rolls and lobster pie were incredible. Glad I was able to stop in and enjoy a slice of home.

I had haddock and a side of coleslaw The haddock was real haddock but a small piece served with a lemon.

Excellent seafood cooked to perfection. Attentive and friendly service. Food was hot when delivered with a generous portion. Property could use some attention and a little maintenance especially the bathrooms. Well satisfied, recommended, and will definitely return.

4 wonderful plates of food and great service from Holly. Wednesday night buck a shuck blue point oysters are enjoyed. Also Wednesday is 1/2 price wine night. The Haddock McLaughlin, a Signature Dish. With CRAB MEAT IMPERIAL SAUSE AND RITZ® CRACKER TOPPING is rich and delicious. The Papa Bear's Stuffed Shrimp, CRAB STUFFED SHRIMP SERVED WITH LOBSTER SAUCE, is also tasty. Blackened scallops are excellent and well blackened. Fried shrimp a little clunky with too much breading. Cole Slaw is wonderful, fries are inconsistent, some crisp some not. Disappointed they are out of cornbread. Great meal, great service, nice night to sit outside, love this place!
