Everything about this place is great - except the flies. They were so overwhelming, we could not enjoy our meal. Our server, Ryan was great and even tried to provide a candle, which only helped a little. We were going to leave soon after arriving, but were so hungry, we stayed. Bad idea. They had a giant fan blowing toward our table to get rid of the flies, but didn't work - and it only made our food cold. And by the way - Key Lime pie doesn't need to be different - it should be simple. Doesn't need to be cutsey with the huge meringue. The Island Dish was tasty, but turned cold from the industrial fan blowing on our food. Meh. Not impressed. Wouldn't go back.

The food was good here and the gardens were pretty. Except they are infested with flies! They have to have giant fans and citronella candles on the tables to keep the flies away and that’s only partly successful. Do NOT believe the hype about the Key Lime Pie. It’s awful. It just looks good for instagram. I’m a key lime pie purest. Go to Kermit’s. It’s the real deal.

WOW !!!! is a great way to explain this place. The outdoor dining experience was wonderful...gave me the feeling of ding out in the jungle...you would have no idea you were in the city.I had the pecan pancakes and Bettys banana bread...both to die for. When in Key West this place is a MUST it gets crowded and wait times can be harsh from what I hear.During my visit i was able to hop right onto the outdoor bar. Thanks to my server Brittany !!!

This place came highly recommended and it was great. We got the last two barstools on a busy night but the music was nice, our food was amazing, and the service was pretty fast. I had the quinoa edamame dish which exceeded expectations- so much flavor! My boyfriend's pork was also seasoned incredibly.

Food is overrated.I had the BBQ shrimp and it was OK. The shrimp didn’t taste fresh. The beans and rice were very plain. The cornbread was the best part.We had the stone crab app, which was alao disappointing. The ambiance was fantastic. Live music was fun. Overall atmosphere was great.Service was good. I felt like there was too many people asking if they could take our plates. Rule of thumb, if the customer is hoping their fork, they are probably not ready for you to take their plate. For the price, it wasn’t worth it. I wish we would have chosen a different restaurant.

If there's any restaurant that captures the very soul over Key West, it's this one. From the Steak & Lobster eggs bene 2 the open air dining room 2 the free range chickens running around, this place has it all. Usually closed in September, this is a Key West must experience. I live in Key West & I go 4 breakfast or dinner at least once a month & it NEVER disappoints.
We have dined at Blue Heaven many times and had a reservation booked two month before our trip to Key West. Unfortunately we had to cancel to attend a funeral and after my husband and I talked to a rather rude and haughty lady on the phone we had decided not to try and get in as walk-ins. Since we were traveling with my 80 year mother, I really wanted her to experience the Blue Heaven experience so we decided to put our names down on the list and wait. The hostess was so kind and helpful. She told us how long it was going to be and it was five minutes before the time she gave us!!! Sean was our server and he could not have been more pleasant and efficient. The food was great as always (the chocolate dessert was up there with one of the best I had ever had!) and Sean is a true asset to this restaurant and the hospitality industry in which he has chosen to work.

I have food allergies and our server was completely on top of it.When I ordered the tenderloin she immediately after confirming with the chef that I might have an issue. She came back to me to confirm what could be done.I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and my cocktail!Wheelchair accessibility: I use a walker and I was able to get around this restaurant and restroom.
