El Mocho is my favorite! It's my go-to. Pretty much my favorite now for decades. Cuban cooking cooked by Cubans. Real Cuban bread cooked on location. And I just had the flan last week, it was as good as it was when I was a kid–since 1983. This is where local's eat.Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly, always has been. Plenty of space.

All you need to know is El Mocho makes their own Cuban bread. They make their own Cuban flan. And it's Cuban owners doing Cuban cooking. I have been eating here since I was a kid and now it's where my Key West kids ask to go when we are looking for something delicious and local. One of the last remaining genuine Old Key West restaurants, and it was definitely the one to we are glad stuck around! If you are as serious about as authentic Cuban as our family, the best Cuban cooking in Key West is El Mocho!
Great homemade Cuban coffee. Little Cuban Cafe across from Boyd's Campground. Breakfast here every morning during our camping stay.

The food is ok and the prices are lower on the menu but they automatically add 18% gratuity and don't have it listed in the door or anywhere. Even on takeout it's added. So a lot of people are adding a tip on top of that. A little too scammy for me

Restaurant added a 18% service charge/tip without asking. A $11 turned into a $15, definitely not worth it. Food was just okay. Go to DeLuna’s food truck half a block away and get more/better food for less.

Got there at 10 after 11:00, they stopped serving breakfast at 11 and apparently no exceptions. Poor service, dropped food and never checked back again. BLT was terrible with raw chewy bacon, 3 thin mushy overripe tomato slices and soggy lettuce. I definitely would not recommend eating at this restaurant.

Freshest OJ you’ll ever have. (Fresh squeezed on premises) Breakfast was excellent. Cafe con leche was on point. If you want to stretch your buck, eat Cuban, eat local mom & pop.

Friendly service and no wait. Huge portions for quickly tasty food. However, there was a bug on the plate towards end of meal that kind of threw a wrench in our dining experience. It wasn't cooked into the food but it killed the vibe. Affordable place with parking.
