It was a great first time visit to this location. The service was excellent for such a large group that we had. The food was good but not out of this world. They do have a great happy hour. Great food. Totally let down by our server katerina. Told us she was “too busy” to split the bill after keeping us waiting for it for over half an hour (the restaurant was half empty)I declined to leave a tip because of poor service and the waitress then told them she expects a tip and shook the rest of our group down for the tip on their way out. Absolutely appalling behaviour. For a meal that cost close to $400 for 7 people that’s not cool.

Food and atmosphere are a staple of Key West. My family and I arrived just off a boat from a fishing trip with fresh catch. Everything was amazing that was prepared fresh from our trip. However, our service at the table was less than acceptable. Maybe we just had someone having a bad day.

What an amazing find! And if you make it during happy hour, they have fresh oysters for $22.99 by the dozen. Also great is the conch ceviche. One of the best sunset views in Key West. This place is located right on the water and if you're lucky, you may get an outside table.The decor is rustic with license plates from all over dorning the walls and the ambience is quintessentially Key West!

Favorite of locals and Cali friends. Happy hour drink and food specials from 4:30 to 6:30 PM. Sit against the dock, and see the big fish fight for your garlic bread, quite a show! The raw oysters and steamed clams were awesome!!! Kora our server Cora was awesome!

We do "cook your catch" dinner at Half Shell Raw Bar every week from November to April for several reasons. The fish, prepared 3 ways, is always just delicious and served with sides our group really like. Our main reason for selecting Half Shell, though, is the fantastic service we have on every single visit. Jenna is extremely efficient and personable, serving us with a big smile of welcome. She brings our drinks before we even order and checks our table frequently to see if anyone wants something else. She truly takes care of her customers and enjoys her work. Eddie in the kitchen completes our dinners by preparing our fish, consistently the most delicious grilled, blackened and fried.We enthusiastically recommend Half Shell Raw Bar for a truly wonderful Key West dining experience!
