A handful of my gal pals and I make it a point to go to the Best Little Wine and Books shop in Lockhart once a month. And now that Poke in the Rear is there, it adds to the pleasure. The food is fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced for what you're served. Add to that, Kaye Askins can pair a wonderful libation to go with any dish. Perfection.

Finally something that’s not BBQ, Fried Chicken or Tacos in Lockhart (although all those things are amazing)Great addition to Lockhart.

Closed even though website doesn't indicate it's out of business. Walked around and couldn't find it. A local let us know it was closed for at least a month

This place came highly recommended so decided to give it a try. It's a little hidden and tucked away behind a building on Duval street, with a sign pointing to an alleyway that leads to an outdoor seating area. You place your order at the window counter and when your order is ready, your name is called. I had Elle's Poke's On Fire and it was FIRE! Fresh ingredients and perfect portions.

Okay ill tell ya. Food was really good. However, the dude cuzi or something was just absolutely bothered by us period. We walked bc i had this specific spot chosen bc of all the great food reviews. Cuzi was rude from the get go.i went to inquire about the bowl i wanted and NOPE before i could get it out of my mouth he said loudly"nope outta that" let me mention when me and my husband got there it was wide open, the girl explained that they were having an event later that evening. So after we ordered Cuzi walks away while i was still trying to finish my order. We wanted to add the flat bread pizza thing, so i opened the back door to his kitchen area and said" ill add the flat bread too please" he said " please dont open my door" to to which i replied" im sorry i was just letting you know"If you, the owner is reading this, ill tell you this, i manage a restaurant in ga 23 years and i wouldnt hire cuzi for anything. Rude, and bothered. Nah man, if my money and my busimess makes anyone feel that way, im not coming back. But the bowls were good. We are here till Friday. The Bowies

I’ve been coming here frequently for the last year. The quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the employees have been great. The selection of soy sauces is amazing! I’m so sad to see this place closing but I understand the owners reasons for doing it. If anyone doesn’t know why they’re closing, you should ask the owner.

Delicious poke salads, very fresh ingredients, in a funky out of the way cafe. Not a touristy place, more like a locals’ well-kept secret.

The patio setting adds a delightful atmosphere to the dining experience, and the amazing poke bowl further enhances the visit. It's a great spot for enjoying a meal in a pleasant outdoor environment.

Fantastic food and a little different from the rest of Duval St. Great service, cold beer and generous tasty poke bowls. 3 dishes between us and every one was as delicious as the next.

Hidden gem does not even begin to describe this little courtyard with around ten tables. I ordered the chicken wings (kinda risky considering the revered place chickens have in Key West!. Lol) and my friend had the Becka Bowl (beef short ribs as the protein. Both were flavorful and even spices without being overpowering. We will be back!

We where out walking around and saw the sign on the street "Poke in the Rear" I thought it was so cute because it's in the rear of the building.. haha. I got The Maya and it was amazing! I also had some Sake.. yum. I didn't use the bathroom so I missed out on seeing it but will definitely add it to my must see list next time I'm down!

Really good find that is hidden away in key west. We stopped a drink which was spot on. Plenty to choose from. It is only outdoor seating but that was fine as the sun was out. The staff are great too.
