Wow. I always assume you can't get quality food at a hotel! This place proved me so wrong. Ron, our server was charming, attentive and so much fun!!! He made wonderful recommendations from drinks to dessert and treated us like queens! Now, the food. 50 year old sour dough AND olive oil from Italy AND butter made with honey from their beehive onsite?? Yes please!!!!! We had the bone marrow with amazing caramelized onions adding just the right amounts of sweetness, shared the salmon which was buttery on a bed of flavorful farro, truffle fries we could not stop devouring and wait till you see the pics of dessert that were not only incredibly beautiful but even more delicious! Ron even brought us extra olive juice for our extra dirty martinis!!! Oh and the ambiance! This restaurant just got a total makeover and it is gorgeous, modern and comfy! Check out that booth!!This was the highlight of our eating g experience at the Gaylord Palms!!!

We typically dine at villa de flora for our wedding anniversary but it was closed. I was very upset but made a reservation at Old Hickory Steakhouse. Once we walked up to the restaurant my tune changed. The decor, ambience, everything was great. We got seated and ordered a bottle of wine, Caesar salads that were so crisp and fresh. The husband ordered the dry aged steak and was cooked to perfection with a roasted garlic bulb. I got the chicken over sweet potato purée, sweet potatoes aren’t my favorite but this was amazing. We received THE BEST bread with the cutest butter molded into honeycombs with honey in some of the sections. The Gouda Mac and cheese, asparagus and truffle fries were great choices for sides and MORE than enough for 4 people. We took our children and while they were welcome with a kids menu and were well behaved… I think I would choose to not bring them next time :)Adel (spelling? Sorry!) was by far one of the best servers we have ever had!Kid-friendliness: They had a kids menu and were welcome but definitely a more adult like atmosphere.
A place to enjoy the food and have a great relaxing time, if you are a happy person for sure you will enjoy this restaurant and the surrounding areas, If you are in a bad mood just don't go, many of the reviews I have read here are unfair, don't be surprised by the prices because you can easily see the menu before you go.Don't buy stuff you can not afford, there are plenty options.

How anyone could rate this place below 5 stars is beyond me!! Calming atmosphere, service incredible. We came without a reservation and were sat immediately. Everything we got was done so well - scallops, Caesar salad, creamed spinach, potatoes au gratin, filet, cocktails. They let you pick your own steak knife out of a selection, when ordering a coffee you get a full French press. So detail oriented here, we loved it. Wish I had taken photos!

Our food was incredible (honey and jam sources on the property paired excellently with cheeses, pork chops big enough for two to eat!) and our server, Ron, did an amazing job taking good care of us, making excellent recommendations and accommodating our wishes. Was an amazing experience overall!

Not happy with this restaurant or it's host. Charged my credit card $50 even though I went to the restaurant in person and canceled our reservation as my wife was ill. He took our name and room number and promised me it was all set. Took an hour on the phone to resolve with the hotel and my credit card. Thieves!!! Again very poor service!

Very fancy butter! That was the coolest part. It was super expensive. Don’t go if you’re not willing to pay $100 per person.Overall the food was good. My crab cake was good, I had salmon that was delicious. My husband got the wagyu steak and it was mediocre. We have made beef steaks on our own at home for $18/lb from Costco than this $80 steak. He always gets his steak medium rare and there was barely any pink and it was pretty hard to chew and eat. Needless to say I was glad I got the salmon.I got dessert and it was pretty but just okay. I wouldn’t get it again. Not worth the calories. It was more of a jelly texture rather than a rich creamy texture I was expecting.I would stick with the seafood like I did and get the cheaper steak. Our brother-in-laws steak looked better than my husband’s and was $60 something instead of $80.

We had the best gnocchi here. The wait staff was a little pushy with the upsell and our friends steak came out way overdone. Great ambience though.
