“Ordered through the drive thru. Jamorris (probably spelled that wrong, i apologize!) was very nice and attentive and repeated my order back to me to ensure it was correct since it was a large order. The drive thru moved fairly quickly and I received all my items. The employee at the window was very nice as well, I completely forgot to ask for sauces but she asked me if I wanted any before I drove off so that was appreciated. Great job!“

“I took my 89-year-old mom here this evening and we were the only gringo diners so I guess that proves that the place is authentic. The food is great. As others have noted, if it says "chicken" on the menu you should expect bones as well. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and enough of them speak English that you won't have to get out Google Translate if you're incompetent in Spanish. The chicken soup was especially good (it's a $14 dish that two can split or it could be your entire meal).“

“Nice first visit! Lovely staff and cute dining room. We tried the empanada, chips & salsa, the "papi rita" margarita and 4 different tacos. Everything was excellent, our favorites were the barbacoa and the al carbon. Happy hour deals were great, we will be back!“

“I have been coming here for years! Maybe once a year but when they first opened I was here at least twice a week! I personally know the owners and they are the absolute sweetest! It’s nice to come and see they have hired workers that mean things are going great for them! I had no doubt they will be still standing years to come in just happy to have a place so close to home as nice as black bean! The food and pastries and aren’t anything short of amazing! (If you’re in doubt get a burrito) but I promise you won’t be disappointed! Come support black bean if you love great food!“

“We had paella which I wasn't aware is a Cuban dish rather than Spanish but it was delicious. Cocktails were good. Service was quick (they prepared the paella in less than the advertised 1h despite us not pre-ordering it) but the restaurant wasn't busy when we were there. Not very atmospheric though. But overall it was a pleasure to be there. Thank you!“

“The food is top tier very flavorful,? Only reason I wouldn’t give 5 stars is the wait time which may be up to an hour but All other aspects it’s a good place. They play music and you can grab a beer while waiting it’s a very nice vibe.“

“That skirt steak dinner is Amazing it was soft not chewy who ever is in that kitchen cooking is doing it with love. “Easy to miss restaurant when driving down Broadway. We come here every other week for a quick bite, we are local, the wait staff is quick and friendly. The food has always been delicious every time. The neighborhood is unsavory at times, so if you feel unsafe (I'm used to the riff-raff) it's best to order to go. But definitely worth a try!“

“I love going to Rafiki Tiki! I have gone several times on a Friday or Saturday night. I really love the atmosphere. There has been live music which was really fun. Their drinks are really good. I usually get the blue drink. I have gotten steak tacos which were delicious. I have also gotten the Captain crunch chicken sandwich, which was delicious. It was crunchy and sweet.“

He entertained us with a song, helped us order in Spanish, and made us laugh with his funny jokes. The food was excellent. Just like the service.
