First time stopping for ribs at Rufus' ribs. Great collards great potato salad great pie and the ribs were outstanding! Ribs cooked over wood instead of charcoal or pellets for the best flavor. Definitely
Let me start by saying this is some seriously good food. Don’t pass by Rufus ribs without stopping!! This husband and wife duo are the sweetest thing, you can tell all their food was made with love. Rufus was out on the smoker, while his wife took orders and prepared the food. The food is home cooked every day and boy was it good. I got the chicken and rib dinner 10/10. The collard greens and cornbread were equally as excellent. They make sure to give you plenty of sauce too which I love!! If you’re passing by or just haven’t been here yet, you need to go!

Amazing BBQ and sides! All fresh made daily. Super sweet couple run the place.We had ribs, pulled pork, corn bread, baked beans, collard greens & Mac & cheese. We loved it so much we bought extra to bring home for tomorrow. Very reasonable prices and generous servings.

Rufus is our go-to whenever we are in Lake Wales, and our favorite barbecue place anywhere. We have been getting barbecue from Rufus and Brenda for over a decade. Consistently 5 star!Tips: • Call ahead and ask to order. If they run out, they are out.• Take cash - they only accept good old cash.• If the weather is inclement (too hot, too cold, to rainy/windy/hurricaney) they will take a week off.• Their food truck is between Granados Produce and Junior’s Seafood - pick up your fresh vegetables, fruit, and seafood at the same time.• We get the sauce on the side - the chicken or ribs are good with or without the sauce, and the sauce is good with baked beans, shrimp, catfish, or whatever.Enjoy!
