Always try to eat somewhere interesting and local when we're on the road, and this cool little downtown cafe was worth the detour. Outstanding burger and fries, quick and personable service, clean, and a friendly vibe with interesting owner and locals willing to engage and talk about Lake Wales, whose downtown seems to be on the upswing. Why give your money to a chain when you could have something memorable and help build a community at the same time?
I had the chicken salad sandwich and potato salad. The chicken salad was good but a little plain. I like cranberries and pecans. But it was still good. The potato salad was wonderful. Pricing was good. I will order again and try other meals. I will also recommend it to my friends.

Stopped in for breakfast after church on Sunday. I went for the breakfast burrito and the wife had French Toast. Both meals were excellent and large portions for the money.Service was great. Quaint little establishment.Was raised in a family restaurant so I have a soft spot for small businesses. We will be back.
