What a gem(jewell) of a find. Stopped by with the family tonight, thought it was closed but thankfully it was opened. We were greeted with a smile and provided with 5 star service. Our server explained the menu which changes nightly. Everything is sourced locally as prepared in house. A farm to table feel for sure. The food was very beautifully and delicately prepared. Highly recommended.

This is definitely a hidden gem! The food and the service was exceptional. Had the fish of the day, which was Swordfish, and one of the tastiest dishes I've eaten lately

Not a huge selection on the menu, but it didn't matter because what was on the menu (that we ordered) was exquisite! We had a pizza salad (greens and tomatoes with a perfect dressing), and Greek salad to start. It was amazing! Next course burger (definitely not your average burger, top quality steak ground in the kitchen) also amazing! I had the yellowedge grouper (I had never heard of that before, and apparently it is a real fish and they are almost universally acclaimed to be the best tasting member of the entire grouper clan). It was! It was cooked perfectly and served lightly sautéed in a lemon butter sauce served with white asparagus which I rarely see in America. Our waiter knew explicitly details about where the fish was caught, and approximately what time it was caught this morning. He was very well versed in all details of our meal. He was attentive to our needs and our meals were all served at the same time and cleared at the same time. Dessert was a coconut cake and a florida cracker pie. (Made with crushed saltines and a lime custard on top.) Absolutely delish.... The whole meal was fantastic and I WILL be returning! It is definitely a Jewell!!

Jewell Bistro is unique in every way and reminds me of pre-gentry lower Manhattan restaurants. Depending on your perspective the design could be creative or kitschy or threadbare but one thing is sure, the restaurant is comfortable and inviting and the service is excellent. Management touts their burger as one that that utilizes special cooking techniques as well as replicating the chef's burger experience while he was traveling in France. Sounds great but my burger was at best average and wasn't the juicy, transcendent culinary knockout I was expecting - not even close. Now when factoring in its $32 price and this without any sides (but for an Heirloom Tomato) makes the burger an expensive disappointment. I also tried the seafood with shrimp and this was good and what a memorable pasta dish should taste like. The dish was nuanced and at first it seemed spicy but the sauce had a nice balanced kick and this item was a winner. A chicken special looked great but was devoid of taste, however the chicken was good quality and fresh.Dessert was "Florida Cracker Pie" and this was very good and had a nice Creme Brûlée like topping.Jewell Bistro was a mixed experience and I can see some people liking its quirkiness and others not.

Service was top notch - a full explanation of every menu item, excellent advice on the drink menu, and an incredibly warm attitude about all of it. And then, the flavor exceeded all expectations - crisp, salty, savory, sweet - every flavor profile you seek, they provide! Looking forward to many more meals at Jewell!!!

Heard about Jewell Bistro on Check Please! The guests all raved about it and am I happy we drove up from Delray to try it. My friend ordered the absolutely delicious burger. Yummy & juicy with a tasty bun and heirloom tomatoes on the side. I had the red shrimp pasta. The shrimp was melt in your mouth tender, the pasta cooked perfectly and the sauce, omg, so silky. We ended dinner with coffee and a slice of mango pie that was literally out of this world. I can't wait to go back to try the salad and the tomato sandwich.Parking: We took a chance & parked on 9th Ave. Not a lot of spots and some driveways and a hydrant to be aware of. However it's a small restaurant and we didn't get a ticket so a win.

Expensive, poor value, unpleasant music. Paper napkins and tablecloth. Hamburger costs $ 32 . Will not visit again.Kid-friendliness: Çan't imagine taking a child there!
