The service was not the best couldn't tell you about the food tonight because they wouldn't serve me. I understand wholeheartedly that businesses have hours they operate in. But when your door is open and the lights are on and your staff is standing around you look open. When I came in and grabbed the menu the cashier came up and said sir I'm sorry but it is 9:32 and we closed at 9:30. I understand again there are hours of operation but you should shut and lock your door if a customer comes into your place of business whether you're supposed to be open or not you should be able to serve them especially when we're talking about 1 to 2 minutes. My biggest problem is in this economical time where it cost way too much money to eat out I was willing to spend some money. But going forward when I need to make a decision on eating out I can guarantee you I will not be eating at hibachi Express in highland City because of how I was treated over a minute or two.

Terrible food. Sushi rice wasn't even flavored right, sushi insides were spongy and bland. Habachi chicken was cold when it got to the table. Service was mediocre. Dirty tables. Had to ask for spoons to go with the soup & asked for 3 extra plates and was given 1. Also have to bus your table- didn't know. Left a 15% tip when I ordered before all this mess, so you don't get to tip on service. Also not offered a booster seat when I clearly had a small child.

Definitely come here for the food. Their hibachi dishes and sushi are phenomenal.Also like the dumplings.
Food isn't horrible, but the steak doesn't even compare to the Winter Havens Hibachi! How the quality can be so far apart is mind-boggling.

Worst lunch experience ever! I've been here plenty when they play their music loud, but today was over the top. I'm there when there was a large group of young adults. And while I understand that the staff could not do anything about how loud this group was, they certainly didn't need to add to it by turning the music up so loud that you had to holler just to speak to whom you're having lunch with.

Well this was interesting to say the least. For the young Latina at the register, please speak up and learn the menu. Miso soup was not bad. Sushi was not terrible. However it seems they want you to bus your table. Not going to happen. I don't even bus my table at Mcdonalds after what they charge. I think Lake Wales is lucky to have them but I probably won't be back.
