We catered our wedding with Mission bbq for 4/6/24. Our tasting was amazing, the catering ordering was a breeze and the staff we met with took catering was lovely. They worked with us last minute with guest deciding to bring unexpected plus ones. The taste testing food was really good, it was just not as good full on catering wise at our actual wedding. We love eating at the restaurant so maybe they just don’t transfer well in taste when cooking in bulk and reheating for setup. They set up a lovely table at our wedding buffet though! One thing I did find out after our wedding was that we were under the impression that we paid for 3 meats (pulled chicken, pulled pork and Salmon) for everyone, including staff. We made sure we got salmon but paid for everyone to cover people that don’t eat pork that we didn’t know about. We paid per person not per meat for everything . We’re busy having the best day of our lives and I found out that my grandfather was denied a portion of salmon because he asked for pork as well. They still had salmon available and were just holding it. So he never got any. It really hurt after all the thought we put into it. I never knew until after but that would definitely be something I bring up with them when ordering catering if you want that to be available to everyone, which we were under the impression it was.

3/27/24Sooo not only was I sooo excited that mission was right next too fuzzys that I was working at as extra help from tampa!! But my absolute favorite bbq was right there!! I love the food and the guys working today were so awesome and just as excited as I was!! Thank you xoxo

We were starving after a gym session and randomly decided to Visit Lakeland's Mission BBQ. As first time dining guest the staff easily explained how to navigate their massive menu options even allowing us to Sample their meat selections. We tried the Baby Back Ribs and Felllllll in complete love!! Carson one of the equivalent to what I would call a crew Leader was so informative and helpful!! He explained to origin of Mission BBQ and thanked my friend for his service as a veteran and even gave him an honorary desert as a thank you for his service. Then Martin ( I hope I didn't say the wrong name bc he deserves all his credit) the Grill Master came and brought us incredible spread to Sample All the various side items they offered and explained how they have a seasonal rotating menu so that the food is always fresh in season. I tried the broccoli salad and OMG best thing I tasted all day. So refreshing, I don't even like raisins but they were surprisingly a fresh and bright addition to the dish! I could go on and on about the customer service food and ambiance but nothing I can say will do this place the justice it deserves...so go try it for yourself 10/10Parking: They also offered Veteran Parking right up front!!!!
