Been wanting to stop by here for a while. Finally got the opportunity on an outing with my daughter and our dog. Had a wonderful experience talking to the owner! She gave me the most delicious blend of tea to try and I had to get a bag of loose leaf tea to take home.

My kids and I have been coming here for years. The tea selection is good and quality is wonderful. The owner, Debbie, is very knowledgeable, welcoming and kind. She always offers several samples of tea and when she’s not busy helping other people, will come talk for a good while. She makes you feel more like family than a customer. Plus, she always has the sweetest neighborhood cats hanging around to visit with us as well.

This place is a cozy hidden gem! The owner took her time going over teas, was super warm/friendly and offered us samples. I wasn’t sure of what nighttime/relaxation tea to get, however the owner was very knowledgeable and helped me pick out the Goodnight tea. I’ll definitely be coming back! Also, there’s an adorable little cat that hangs around the patio area.

Very sweet owner and sweet kitty. Enjoyable experience with great tea! Really does feel like getting tea from a little fairy garden cottage ???

Really disappointed in the way they handle disabled people and their service dogs. Do better

The store owner has been taking care of a cute stray cat for some time. If you are feeding it and treating it as your own wouldn’t you get it spayed so that you do not contribute to the overpopulation of animals who are struggling to find homes right now. Following this, to deny a service animal entrance to your tea shop due to your own lack of responsibility is not great. Take the pregnant kitty to another part of your store if you are concerned about its well being. To accuse a disabled person and their service animal of stressing her cat out to where it may kill the kittens is absolutely horrible.

Denies service dogs access. Service dogs have access to all businesses which is stated by the ADA. Let me give you the full quote.“An individual with a disability has the right to be accompanied by a service animal in all areas of a public accommodation that the public or customers are normally permitted to occupy.”It is a terrible look and very ignorant to not allow service dogs in an open establishment, even if there are felines around. A well trained service dog will not bark at, lunge at, or otherwise engage with any animal and will be focused on their handlers needs and body signals.Do better. We are very disappointed in your approach to treating disabled customers who need the help of a service dog.

Disgusting behavior towards disabled individuals and their medical equipment

I was told about this business by a friend who's been a long time customer and had been raving about the tea. I'm not a huge fan of tea but was hoping that I could find something that I might like. While waiting for said friend to show up, I was looking at the list on one side of a gated area which I have no idea how I would even get in because I could not see a way in. Inside of said area was a stray cat, my service dog was sitting quietly next to me and looking at the cat through the gate but at no point was he barking/growling/ trying to get the cat in any way shape or form. The lady that runs the shop pokes her head and tells me that I need to move "the dog" because she's taking care of a stray pregnant cat that is and I quote "due any day." I tell her that he's a service dog and I will go away as soon as I finish looking at the list of teas. She tells me "well, you're stressing her out" or "he's stressing her out and that could kill her babies, you don't want to kill her babies." To which I'm horrified in the first place that she would even say that. I explain that no, but he's not bothering her or doing anything to her especially from the other side of the fence, there's probably a good 7-10ft between my service dog, the fence, and the cat. She tells me "I need you to take the dog and leave." I said again, he's a service dog and that I would leave as soon as I was finished looking. "I understand he's a service dog but I really need you to leave now." I repeat myself again. "I need you to leave right now." I finally start to walk away because I really don't want to continue to argue with her over my ability to be there. While walking away she continues to tell me "you have to understand she's pregnant you're stressing her out and it could kill her babies." And I tell "but he wasn't doing anything and I was just looking at the list and then was going to go inside."I would understand 100% HAD my service dog been completely out of my control and had been trying to chase, get to her, barking or growling but as I stated he was sitting and looking through the fence and that was it. I love animals, I work with animals, I work with a cat rescue at my job, in no way shape or form would i want to "kill her babies." Do not recommend unless you like supporting shops that blatantly break the law.

Horrible customer service. Denied a person with a service dog access due to a pregnant cat no where near the dog. No aggression other than from the owner.

Fantastic teas, wonderful small town service. The owner, Debbie, really knows and loves her teas!

I'd give her all the stars in the world if I could for this review, but there's only 5. I've been coming here since before I was 10 years old with my grandmother and now I'm 21. If you're looking for a refreshing spot in Lakeland, this is the place for you! This sweet lady is so patient and gives samples to try. I'd recommend to anyone.
