Service was excellentAppetizers excellent, had the bread and butter with raspberry lime butter, Brussel sprouts with blueberry sauce (could use a little more sauce), and shrimp (very good)Main coarse was meatloaf and pork two waysI ordered the pork two ways and it was inedible unfortunately. Both very dry, I returned it and was not charged.Meatloaf was also overcooked but not as bad as the pork. The required reservations but there was many empty tables

Do not eat here! The food was terrible and significantly overpriced. Everything tasted like salt and flour. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Service was good, but literally left all of our leftovers (which was pretty much the whole meal) on the table—the waiter tried to bring to us, but we politely told him that we intentionally left our leftover boxes.

Today was my 4 year wedding anniversary and my husband and I decided to give Red Door in Lakeland a try for dinner since I had heard it was good years ago and the menu sounded interesting. I was excited to see the eclectic menu, but ended up disappointed in my meal. We ordered the bread and infused butter app, it was just ok. The bread was 5 seconds away from being too charred to eat and the infused butter was lackluster but did the job since we were hungry. We tried the El Lucha-door tequila cocktail ( Don Nacho Tequila, pineapple/habanero shrub, house-made cherry/cinnamon syrup, lime juice) but unfortunately, it just tasted like watered down tequila with no other flavors present. Reminded me of tequila and water. ($13)Onto the dinners, my husband ordered the Pan Seared Scallops($36) (charred corn succotash, carrot puree, chicharrones). His meal was amazing. The Scallops were delicately seared and plump, the charred corn succotash was extremely flavorful and the carrot puree was smooth. Although very tasty, the portions were a little smaller than expected, but overall this dish was very much enjoyed.Onto my meal, I ordered the Crispy Pork Belly (serrano relish, shredded pickled veg, corn puree, micro radish). The presentation was nice, but overall dish was not. upon trying to cut my first bite, I was literally fighting with the pork belly as if it was jerky, I was basically sawing it but to little avail. Upon first chew, the pork belly was tough and the fried portion was so overly fried that it turned to dust in your mouth and gave an overwhelming salty flavor. (Imagine a gas station fried chicken thats been sitting under a heat lamp and then refried) The Serrano relish was very minimal on top of the 'pickled veg' (which really just looked like dry coleslaw). It had no pickled flavor or texture, so it added no real flavor. On my second bite I literally was chewing and could not get the mouthful down, I was chewing and chewing and chewing until I gave up and it stayed in my cheek for the next 10 minutes waiting for our server to return. (Yall, I ended up requesting a paper napkin so I could spit it out. Do you know how bad something has to be to be dressed up on your anniversary and then spit your dinner into a paper napkin?!) I politely let the waitress know that I did not like the dish and she was very nice and accommodating and immediately removed the dish and said she would speak with her manager and asked if id like to order something else, I politely declined as my husband had already finished his meal. After another 10 minutes the waitress came out and said the manager was going to remove the item from the bill and had the waitress offer us a complimentary dessert which we appreciated but politely declined as we had plans to get dessert elsewhere at another location. The manager did not make an attempt to come to the table, which did bother me a bit as even at Applebees with $10 entrees, a manager will come to the table to address any issue (I was employed there previously). Overall, this ended up being a really poor food experience foodwise on my end of the meal (husband really enjoyed his) and even more disappointing as this was our wedding anniversary dinner, which only comes around once a year. I'm not going to say that I won't ever go back, but I definitely would never order the crispy pork belly meal again or the tequila drink, and in the future, I'd hope that if there was another issue (just FYI this never happens to us and I haven't sent back food in probably 10+ years) that the manager would come to the table to address it.Bread & infused butter app ($6) 6/10El Lucha-door cocktail ($13) 5/10Pan-Seared Scallops ($36) 9/10Crispy Pork Belly ($24) 2/10=Overall experience rating 5/10

Disappointed doesn't even begin to describe our recent visit. We came for Saturday brunch before shopping. Arrived at 11:30 to an empty restaurant. We were seated promptly, given menus and asked what we would like to drink. Ordered their bottomless mimosas, only to find out they weren't available. What? That's what brunch is about... :) Next we placed our food order, to be told we were given the wrong menu. Finallly received menu of the day and ordered food and drinks. Took over 30 minutes for food to arrive. The avocado toast was tasteless and side of potatoes overcooked and cold. The skillet chorizo eggs were average. Had high hopes after reading the reviews. Overall, it was a bad experience. Can't say I'd give them another try.

Lunch with friends on a Friday at 12:15. We were a group of eight and sat on the porch. I’m sure being short-staffed was part of the problem, but our food didn’t come out for an hour, and two of the orders were wrong. One order came out ten minutes after the others. I can forgive all of that, but the server was not nice at all, to the point of being rude. I get being overworked, but choose a good attitude! The food was good, but pricey.

We decided to try this restaurant with a friend and when I tell you it was a poor experience, I mean it. I waited over an hour for cold food and water down drinks. I was also served sour meat and when I let the waiter know he said it was the sour cream, but sour cream doesn’t leave a putrid taste in your mouth. The only good part about my visit was the sweet girl Kathrine. She was very upbeat and knowledgeable about the wine choices.

We went for Saturday brunch. The restaurant was not busy, but the service was painfully slow. My omelette was over cooked. It came out black.

VERY DISAPPOINTING. I decided to try Red Door for the first time tonight. It’s a cute restaurant but I was not at all impressed with the food. When we walked in the host asked if we had reservations… there were literally 3 parties in the entire restaurant. Sadly they were out of everything that even looked appealing to me, including the shrimp, chicken dish and Brussel sprouts, which I didn’t find out until after we ordered them! I’ve never been to a restaurant that was out of literally almost half the items on the menu. I didn’t try an alcoholic beverage though they looked okay. May have made the food taste better. The few dishes we tried I was not overly pleased with. We were hoping to find a new place to dine in Lakeland, but It was a disappointing experience .

We had lunch there recently and was disappointed in food, slow service ( our server did her best) and loud talk from kitchen. We looked forward to trying out lunch, but we will not be back for lunch or dinner.

Party of 6 walked in at around 11:45 restaurant was empty. The dishes are not worth the money. Chicken was burned to a crisp as well as anything that was fried. I’m sure oil needs to be changed. Seems like buns are old as can be, super stale. Overall a Terrible experience.

Red Door is easily the best restaurant in Lakeland. The head chef Lucy is both creative and innovative. Everyone’s food at my table was incredible. The bar tender had really unique drinks available and the experience as a whole was so enjoyable. This absolutely will not be the last time I eat there.

The service was excellent and the restaurant had a wonderful ambience. Unfortunately, the food was very hit or miss. All of the appetizers were delicious but some of the entrees fell flat. It's worth a try but I suggest asking a lot of questions about the dishes preparation. My friend was very disappointed with her duck dish. It was basically a few pieces of shredded duck on a salad. It wasn't what she expected at all.

My husband treated me to this local gem tonight! All of the dishes were appetizing and prepared with great care and attention to detail! Everything was very unique in flavor. We can’t wait to return! Also, shout out to the Chef, Lucy and her super sweet staff! We enjoyed every aspect of our visit!
