This is a fantastic local spot which has quickly become a favorite. The beer selection is excellent and constantly changing. The food is wonderful, creative and always consistent. The chef puts his own twist on classic pub fare and makes it guilt-free with nothing fried (I recommend the chicken club or pastrami reuben). The owners clearly have a passion for the business and the service is always superb with the staff being extremely accommodating. They have enough TVs to be considered a sports bar masquerading as a craft beer gastropub. I highly recommend a stop at Peculiar Pub.

As individuals with disabilities who rely on a service dog, we were met with discrimination, hostility, and outright lies from the establishment's owners.Upon entering the pub, we were verbally accosted by an employee, later revealed to be one of the owners, who aggressively demanded that we remove our clearly identified service dog from the premises. Despite our attempts to explain that the dog was a medical service animal protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the owner insisted on denying us entry, citing false information about county and state laws regarding service animals.Throughout the encounter, the owners repeatedly claimed to have conducted thorough research with Manatee County officials, who allegedly informed them that they had the right to choose whether to allow service dogs in their establishment. These blatant lies were used to intimidate and discriminate against us, and it is unacceptable.Not only did the owners violate ADA regulations by refusing us entry with our service dog, but they also perpetuated discrimination against individuals with disabilities by spreading false information about their legal obligations. It is appalling that in this day and age, businesses continue to engage in such reprehensible behavior.I urge anyone considering patronizing Peculiar Pub to think twice and reconsider supporting an establishment that condones discrimination and misinformation. No one deserves to be treated with such disrespect and hostility simply because they rely on a service animal for assistance.In conclusion, our experience at Peculiar Pub was nothing short of disgraceful. The changes are fairly subtle since this place was Craft Growlers To Go, but for us it's now a fun and a destination. The staff is awesome, music good. One of the (3 I think) owners has been there for each our 4 visits. We had corned beef and cabbage the day before St Patty's Day. It was awesome.

We popped in just for a quick beer and would read it by Sami, a delightful waitress who quickly introduced us to the menu and help us make our beer decisions. Evan, the owner and chef, greeted us also at our table and shared pictures of all the amazing food that he's been serving. We will definitely be back to taste some of his creations.Peculiar Pub looks like a place we will be frequenting often!Great music and atmosphere as well. There is a nice chair table that occupies the middle of the restaurant with 12 chairs. Nice!

This cute hidden gem on LWR Msin street has great friendly service and food. The Buffalo sauce chicken meatballs were an excellent starter. The chicken BLT pita is a great sandwich with excellent flavor. The cole slaw that accompanied it was amazing. The sloppy joe was very good also
