Why do you not give chips and salsa like almost every other Mexican restaurant!? We ordered nachos and didn't even get a side of salsa. The guy that took our phone order was less than friendly. Large portions, the horchata was good. Also, olives on nachos is not normal.

Nice authentic restaurant. Only 3 stars for the atmosphere because we didn’t dine in. We took out for our first time eating. Service was quick. Got home….we loved it! I order chicken taquitos and hubby got the steak fajita nachos. Not too greasy and the guacamole was delish as well. Try it if you are looking for great Mexican food. We will be back!

I've been coming to this Carmelita's since I was a little kid. It is still one of my favorite restaurants and hasn't changed at all since the 90s (in a good way). Service is still great. Good is still awesome. It's always clean. I've never had a problem in the hundreds of times I've been here. I've been to every location and have never been disappointed. Every location is consistently good but this one has the nostalgia and memories of coming here for*gasp* almost 30 years. It's good dine-in or takeout. I did find a cheat code, if you want to try their desserts, order dessert before dinner or you'll always be too full to try them (& they're delicious).Dietary restrictions: They've always been very accommodating to food allergies and dietary restrictions

This Carmelita’s does not feel like it is a part of this food chain. They often make mistakes on orders and their customer service is not good. I’ve tried many times to go to it because it is so close but to be honest for the last several years I have driven out of my way to go past them to the other one located much further away. I have never written a bad review but today I tried to go their again…. I called 30 minutes before closing to place an order just for nachos. They said sorry we don’t take to go orders are the phone this close to closing and I said OK so you want me to drive there in person and place the order and they said yes and I said I’ll be getting there five minutes before you close is that OK? And they said yes. So instead of choosing another restaurant That closes at the same time and placing it to go order, I trusted because I talk to them on the phone and they wanted me to come in person to place my order so I did. I got there five minutes before closing time. Actually a couple minutes early probably seven minutes before closing time and they are locking the door and walking out. I said I just talk to somebody on the phone and they told me to come here in person to place my order and now it’s too late to go anywhere else and you’re closed?Could you have at least just said sorry we’re not taking any more orders. We’re closing early and I wouldn’t have driven 20 minutes to get to you and I would’ve chose another restaurant. It was obvious the person in the parking lot was the person I spoke to on the phone and they did not care at all. I will never be back, and everyone that I speak to her years. I have already told them to avoid this particular Carmelita’s, and I have actually been told from friends of mine to avoid this Carmelita‘s. Save yourself the trouble and drive an extra 15-20 minutes to go to the other one. It’s 100 times better.
