My first time ordering from this place and most definitely won’t be the last. Some of the best bbq chicken I have ever had in my life. The portion sizes were generous. We have been obsessed with J New Mom’s BBQ since we had it at my sister’s wedding in 2019. Once we tasted it, we both knew we had to have this for our wedding. A couple of our favorite items were the pulled pork with his homemade BBQ sauce and the potato salad. Throughout the years leading up to our wedding, we would visit his tent at various local festivals and get our favorite things. Finally, the day had come for him to provide BBQ for our wedding, and Johnny did not disappoint! We had pulled pork, chicken, mac & cheese, green beans, and potato salad. ALL OF IT WAS ON POINT! The wedding guests kept asking us where the BBQ was from, and we were proud to say J New Mom’s. Thank you, Johnny, for making our wedding dinner dreams come true on your birthday. We appreciate you. I had never heard of this place before today and decided to give it a try. I ordered the short ribs with beans and yams and the fried chicken with rice and mac and cheese. The portions were huge and everything was AMAZING. I couldn't possibly have enjoyed this meal any more than I did and am so happy I stumbled across it!

First time eating here & won’t be the last, I’ve been doing a-lot of local support lately & decided to support a relative. I had the Bbq Chicken, Greens, Mac & cheese & Banana Pudding. The only thing I “personally” didn’t like was the banana pudding isn’t the old fashioned kind with real bananas, but it was good nevertheless. If you’re looking for good soul food, this is somewhere you don’t wanna pass up on!!

So being that this place is tuck away but still visible from the street and always is packed should tell this is the spot. The drive in might be a little skeptical, the parking not top notch. BUT THE FOOD……… one of a kind. If you’re ever in the area just go grab you a plate and get ready for a nap afterwards.

Got the pulled pork and fries. Not your typical pulled pork from a BBQ place. Idk if it's seasoned different or with peppers and stuff, but it definitely wasn't tasty to me. Fries had a fish taste. Ended up throwing it away. Staff and atmosphere was on point though. Very nice people and nice food truck, just wasn't impressed with the food that I ordered.

I'm so impressed with the quality and quantity of the ribs. The spicy sauce was perfect. Sorry I didn't get pictures but I will next time because I'm definitely going back. Service was quick and everyone was enjoying their job. This is a must for you. Good job.
