I was not a fan. The place seemed very chaotic when we went and it took a minute for someone to acknowledge us. We ordered 2 slices of pie to go and I did not finish mine. I had the chocolate pie and it lacked that nice creamy silk chocolate flavor and texture that I am used to with chocolate pies. The crust was very dry and tasteless as well. I am one and done with this place.

Verdict: The pies here are worth the 40-minute drive! We have been on the hunt for good key lime pies since moving to Florida. Someone suggested we should try The Pie Factory in Largo. I'm so glad we did! For our first time here, we got pieces of key lime pie, apple pie, bourbon Street pecan pie, and the limoncello cake to try at home. All were winners. The limoncello cake was so moist with a noticeable citrus taste. The Pie Factory will from now on be included in my "tour of Florida" itinerary for visitors, especially since it's near the Florida Botanical Garden. I'm also excited because I now know where to get my pies for Thanksgiving.

I've always driven by, on vacation, and finally stopped in. OMG! This place is amazing. I had the lemon meringue and it was delicious. We got our pieces to go and because one of the slices wasn't a "perfect" slice, she threw in another piece, at no charge!

The owner is a very hard working person who loves to make great pies. She has created a cute and interesting "living room" atmosphere. It is worth a trip.

Came here specifically for the Keylime muffins which are out of this world. I question the other review's that were less than favorable on the keylime pie. That was not my experience. Not only was it a party in my mouth, I left with an abundance of key lime items to go. This place does key lime that is out of this world.
Went with a group of 3 and we ordered the chocolate meringue, pecan, and the lemon meringue pies. The pecan was disappointing but the others were good. The crust on them was average.The coffee, which was presumably from the co-branded Toucan Coffee House, was no better than instant coffee. Not entirely clear if the Coffee House are supposed to be the same place (two establishments in one?) or separate, but it seemed like they were the same place.Old school place with great variety but some pies are better than others and I wouldn't recommend the coffee.
