“A delightful little Greek bistro gem in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. The service is a little slow out of the gate but the food is terrific and definitely worth the wait. Our favorites are the seafood (Branzino and fish special) and the Lamb Shank with Orzo and feta cheese. The Greek Salad is top notch, too. The complimentary pita is oven fired with fresh hummus or a yogurt-inspired seafood dip. They have a unique selection of Eastern European beers, too, which is a refreshing alternative to the usual list. I has the Czech Pilsner and the rest of the table went with the Greek Chardonnay which was pretty good! As locals, we've dined here before and will definitely return.“
“Our first time here and had gyros and a flourless chocolate cake! They were fantastic. Our server Leo was super nice and courteous. Loved him, too. Maitre’D and host were very professional. Fun atmosphere. We’ll be coming back here again and again!“
“We had such a great meal here! Jumped in for the combo and it was a great way to explore the menu. The sriracha tzatziki was a big surprise. Ginger mule was a terrific cocktail and Brendon was a competent, friendly, and fun bartender. We will return.“
“Atmosphere has a nice chill vibe. Service was on point and management/owners make you feel like family. I would tell you about the food but you would be better served if you went in and tried it yourselves... you will not be disappointed.“
“Florie, our server was everything! There is some beautification construction going on, but she has created an outdoor space with twinkling lights, plants and outdoor seating to accommodate all their customers. It was really neat to see a restaurant making something beautiful out of a tough situation. She was so welcoming and the food was awesome! Love the sauce they give with the Greek style fries! 5 stars would recommend.“
“Another great score: my new neighborhood includes a an authentic, family-owned Greek spot, The Gyro Joint, with amazing food & friendly service not even 2 minutes away! This is already the 2nd time this week my sister & I have gotten their food. My only gripe so far is that they're not open later than 9pm! Already confirmed their gyros are the bomb so tried wings tonight and they did not disappoint! Crispy, meaty, & served with a tasty housemade dipping sauce. Deeeeelish! Can't wait to try more!“
“I really had a great experience here for my first time eating here. It was my husband idea to bring me here for breakfast due to this is where he and other co workers come here to eat??The prices are very reasonable and the food is fresh and hot? I’ll be back soon“
“Across-the-board, this place is outstanding! My friend, and I went to two other pizzerias before she suggested that we come to Kosta's. Being from NY we don't eat just any pizza! We went to Bruscos and they acted like we were invisible, so we left. Kosta's greeted us like family! When they asked if we had ever been there my friend told them she had but I hadn't and we were looking for pizza ! The owner immediately threw a slice of pizza in the oven and split it between us to sample! It was incredible! I ordered a pie , a Greek house salad and 3 different types of desserts to bring home to my hubby who is now also hooked! Our waiter Nick provided service that we haven't seen in a while! He was friendly knew the menu entirely at suggested dishes that he thought we would like, because he loved them! He really made our day after the complete rudeness at Bruscos! We will be back! Thank you so much for the great food , ambiance, , friendly service and attention to detail! If you are in the area place is a MUST!“
“The best meal I've had in ages. Definitely the best Greek restaurant in North America. Honestly better than a lot of Greek restaurants in Greece. I am Greek, and this was absolutely authentic. I will be thinking about my meal here for a long time. Service was also excellent. The food nearly brought me to tears. Wish i could give 6 stars.“
“Skip the drive to Boca or Fort Lauderdale and eat here. The food is amazing, from the fish to the salads to the pasta and everything else. This family owned restaurant should be on your regular rotation of high end consistently great places to go.“
“The food is very good it’s comforting, it’s delicious! That’s all disguised by an underwhelming atmosphere, the place needs a refresh a fave lift. The service was ok, perhaps too distracted for my likens. I get being busy. However, when you come to the table, slow down and acknowledge the “people” you’re serving. You will never be disappointed with the flavors and the authenticity of the food…“
“This was my first time getting food from here, i called in a order and Melissa recommended i get the chicken shawarma plate n a side of mixed veggies n i must say this plate was nothing short of amazing, great flavor nice size portion i recommend trying it.“
“Probably our favorite breakfast spot in Fort Lauderdale. We hail from "diner country" in the northeast. Joe's was recommended by a friend. We were a little skeptical of a diner in a shopping center, but Joe's delivers a very good breakfast at a fair price. It's become our non-diner diner.“
“We were in the area for Tortuga Music Festival and came here both Saturday and Sunday morning for breakfast. We sat in the same booth and had the same waitress both times. Eileen was so nice and welcoming, the atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the food was delicious! We ordered the waffle combo and Philly Cheesesteak omelet the first day and both were absolutely delicious! We ordered the blueberry pancakes and the country breakfast the next day and again perfection. I would highly recommend you stop here for great casual and affordable dining experience!!“
“cute little spot, indoor and outdoor seating. fast service. nice Greek murals on walls, greek music playing. large platters, reasonably priced. refills on self service beverages. pleasant staff. east front door free parking. i would return and recommend to locals and tourists to Broward area.“
“My daughter found this place, and we decided to stop in. We were both glad we did. It was a perfect cheesesteak. Better than what you can get in Philly. Perfect bun, steak, cheese, etc. It was all made and served fresh. We will definitely be going back. Price is good too. Staff was friendly as well.“
“Delicious food with amazing service. Everything is made from scratch and made with love! The owner, Christina, is there front and center showing pride in her business and greeting every person. Such a lovely place that will definitely be a regular spot for me!“
“These guys are on point. Always consistently great. No surprises. I’m go here at least once or twice a week. Excellent simple clean Greek food. Prices are also extremely affordable. High quality ingredients. Most everything made on premises. Love this place!“
“I am Greek so take it from a Greek this is the best Greek food in Fort Lauderdale. I've watched so many people wait in line for hours at some Greek restaurants in town the food is not half as good as Greek pastries &deli100% recommend“
“THIS PLACE IS ONE OF THE MOST EXTRA ORDENER PLACES TO EAT ME AND MY FAMILY BEEN EATING HERE FOR 25 YEARS U WANT I MEAN WANT G R E K FOOD IT THE FREKEN BEST IN STATE OF FLORIDAWheelchair accessibility: bring them in it dosent matter the room is there let go folk best dinner in south florida“
“My favorite neighborhood Greek Restaurant run by a very welcoming and hardworking family!I’ve ordered from here several times over the course of couple of years and each and every time it’s been a home run - the food is always wholesome, fresh and made to order, quick to come out, very satisfying and the customer service is simply wonderful! It’s hard to recommend anything in particular because everything is so damn good. Compliments to the chef/owner indeed. It’s worth working your way through the menu starting out at the top!The portions are generous and the premises is always clean.“
“Oliv Pit Was very accommodating in our request to seat a group of 14 in the outdoor patio . Dionysus provided the best service we could've asked for making our experience a great one. Trio appetizer, meatballs, falafel, and beet salad were great. Pita sandwich choices and drink menu were good tookThank you. Everyone loved it“
“I have always love this restaurant and dined here often. Yesterday, my experience was not as good as usual. I always order the lamb chops. I ordered them “medium” but the first one I ate was actually very well done. The second one I cut into was very rare, so it put it aside because I knew I would have leftovers to take home and I figured I could good it through. The lamb chops, in general, were very fatty. There was more fat on some of them than meat. I guess it was a bad batch because I always order this meal and I rave about it. This time I ordered the large portion intending to have leftovers. The second night, not much better. One additional chop was very rare and the other extremely fatty.. My guest ordered the stuffed sole and it looked devine and tasted delicious. The salads (the Greek and the beet salad) were yummy and the side vegetables and potatoes also were good. I was surprised to not see enough servers outside on the patio. We had to keep looking for our waiter for water and extra napkins. He did treat us to a complimentary piece of delicious dessert, a combination of cheesecake and baklava. I did not make a fuss at all, but no one really asked how things were while we were dining. Of course, I will come back here. Everything is usually perfect and the ambiance is beautiful when sitting outside.“
“My better half of 47 years got the pot roast and I ordered the liver and onions with gravy. It was the first time we were both extremely pleased with both our meals. And the server, SPRING, best best best ever!Parking: 9 out of 10 times we are usually lucky enough to park under the canopy!“
“We had been eyeing Greek Guys Souvlaki in Fort Lauderdale for months, eagerly awaiting its opening. However, after moving away from the area, it somewhat slipped our minds. On a recent visit back to the vicinity, curiosity got the better of us, and we decided to check if it had finally opened. We were thrilled to find that it had.Our experience at Greek Guys Souvlaki was nothing short of fantastic. The service truly set the tone for a memorable meal. Both the owner and the main chef were incredibly welcoming and personable, making us feel right at home from the moment we stepped in. The chef went above and beyond by customizing our order to accommodate my wife's vegetarian preferences, a gesture we greatly appreciated. The food itself was excellent – flavorful, satisfying, and reasonably priced. It's worth noting that this isn't your typical fine dining Greek establishment. Instead, it's the perfect spot for a quick, delicious meal without the fuss, which is exactly what we were looking for.Given our positive experience, we strongly recommend Greek Guys Souvlaki to anyone in Fort Lauderdale looking for a tasty, no-frills Greek meal. The combination of great service, customizable menu options, and reasonable prices makes it a standout choice for a quick bite. We're certainly glad we rediscovered it and plan to return whenever we're in the area.“
“This place is amazing. Listening to a pleasing techno/house music right when you walk in. Ordered the gyro. Hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend. I couldn’t take the photo of the food fast enough I had to take a bite ?“
“Located on 17th Street (in between a Holiday Inn Express to its left and an Embassy Suites to its right) this place provides the quality Carrabba's Italian dining experience. I ordered the chicken marsala - very tender chicken in their tasty mushroom marsala sauce. Their standard Sicilian chicken soup is excellent as well.“
“Love the place! the portions are great and so is service. Unfortunately the last couple times I encountered something wrong. Gave it a 2nd try and I won't be back. While the ladies are kind and fast at such a busy shop, I have seen a lady touching her face (nose) and then scratch her face with her gloves on and back to preparing food with the same gloves. The next visit, she went to the back room and was quick with her phone with gloves on and returned to preparing food with said gloves.. If anything, I would prefer she change her gloves when she is touching other "personal items" when returning to food. I hope this is not to get anyone in trouble but to be more sanitary.Parking: Hope to return soon.“
“I am a Greek fan so when I was out with some of my employees and saw it was lunchtime, I had to pull out my Yelp app to see what options there was and came across this restaurant. I walked in and there was a short line but the cashier was taking orders pretty quickly. They had a board with some specials but I came for the gyro. One employee had the veggie gyro as he is vegetarian and the other had a gyro like me. The pita was warmed which is a good sign. The tzatziki had a nice consistency. There was a lot of meat in the gyro. All together it was delicious. Fries were hot. Best of all was the price- I want to say less than 10 dollars for the gyro, fries and a fountain drink.“
“I got the Greek omelette with has brown and rye toast, and it was amazing! And the fresh squeezed OJ put the meal over the top! But nothing was as great as the service, Chrissy was so professional and personable, you couldn’t ask for a better experience from a real family style diner. I’ll be back, soon!“
“just wow, let me tell you about how good this food was. i haven’t ever heard of this location or any of the spots around here and i wish i knew sooner. my girl and i just came here and had the BEST experience, dude who works here was super cool. every suggestion he made was spot on.. come to this spot ASAP for some great food and even better staff experience“
“Amazing little cafe! We were visiting FLL and this place was within walking distance from our hotel. My husband had the ham & cheese omelet. He said it was one of the best he's ever had. The grits were real grits - not instant. Our waitress was delightful! So sweet & so friendly! Do yourself a favor - stop here!!“
“My family and I have been eating at gyromania for about a year and we love it. It's light-hearted environment is warm and welcoming yet simply. They food however is fantastic! So much to choose from and so healthy. I typically order the same thing each time as I'm a creature of habit. Shiskabob chicken which comes with a side salad and some of the best rice I've eaten. The crew are always polite and welcoming as well.“
“Food was delicious, great portions and great price. I would come back again.I ordered a build your own pita. Was hoping for gyro but they were out because the delivery truck had not arrived on time. Totally understandable. I ordered the spicy chicken instead and it was great. Ingredients tasted fresh. Liked the hummus and tzatziki sauces and they gave me extra on the side.Service was friendly but simple. I walked in, ordered and walked out with my food. Very quick service.“
“The food is really good. We have come to this restaurant several times. During our last visit we arrived a few minutes early so I told the hostess that I would like to go to the bar and order a drink while our table became available. She said no. I looked at the bar and it is very large. There was space to discretely order a drink without disturbing dinners that were eating at the bar and move with our drinks to a side tall table. We ended un waiting at the entrance for 15 minutes and they lost the opportunity to sell us an extra drink. Our server was good and attentive. The food really fresh . We both had fish. Only recommendation is do not order tap water. It tastes really bad. Also don't seat next to the live music. It gets very loud. Unless you don't want to talk to the other people at the table, then sit by the music. There are always many Greek guests and dancing to the tune of the music is very common. You can tell many are regulars. It is a very fun environment.“
“This little Greek bistro in LBTS is a gem. The food is terrific and the hustle bustle is just right. Be patient because service can be a bit slow, but always friendly. The owner took our order and made us feel like we were in her home. The food is worth the wait. Warm, wood-fired complimentary pita with hummus was delicious and our meals (Greek Salad, Black grouper [special] and lamb shank w/orzo) were delightful. They have a great wine and beer selection, especially Eastern European beers. We enjoyed the Czech Pilsner and the Greek Chardonnay and will be back again.“
