“My family and I have been going to Silver Pond since I was a young child to "yumcha" and eat dim sum. It's high-quality Chinese cuisine- so much selection from meat dishes to vegetable dishes to seafood and more. The staff there work extremely hard to appeal to all types of customers and party sizes. I would say the flooring and interior is a bit dated, but overall it still works.“
“Just make sure to read ur lunch specials. They will not give you ur egg roll, chicken wing, crab Rangoon if you don't specify it. I feel as though that I shouldn't have to specify it. They should ask which one you would like knowing that it comes with the lunch special. I opted for the crab Rangoon and she did even give me the sdd as ice to come with it. Not two thumbs down. Surely one thumb. Other than this the food was okay . The Chinese restaurant across the street behind KFC is much better. And what's $.50-$1 difference when the taste n look is way better“
“This may sound strange but Trini Chinese food is completely different, and better tasting than Chinese fast food. The other complication is that it is pretty difficult to find an authentic Trini Chinese food business in South Florida. Trini's Chinese Bites could not have been any harder to find, but was well worth the exploration.Since my MCL damage I have had to return to Total Orthopedic for my progress to be reviewed by the doctor. After a visit, I searched for food in the area and was excited to find this restaurant. It is a takeout only establishment but the area is clean and there is a clear view of the kitchen, so you can see all the tasty delights getting prepared. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and able to answer any questions you might have about the menu. I love that smell of fresh, well seasoned food being prepared in front of you. The menu is full of local (Trinidad) favorites, like Char Sui Kai Fan and Pepper Chicken, and sides as well. The portions are huge, tasty, and mouthwatering. Everything was cooked to perfection and the wait time was very short. The fried rice had the taste and flavor of the Dragon (Wok Hey), a thing that sets Chinese food places apart from each other. I only wish there were a bit more vegetables in there. As I will have many more trips to the doctor until I am fully healed, I will be back to Trini's Chinese Bites until I have tried everything on the menu. Hope to see you there.“
“One of the best Griot Spots in Broward. The meat is very tender, and they give you lots of picalese. Hopefully I spelled that correctly. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the magic happens in the kitchen. Definitely will be here again. It was worth it. There is another Haitian restaurant in the plaza so make sure you look for it. Updated number is 754-204-1557.“
“Ok, so this place is rather hidden. So the point like it looks like it's closed because of the construction going on around it. But it's very much open! Super cozy once you're inside. Staff was super friendly and helpful in answering all my questions and making some yummy suggestions. I because I don't eat pork, I wasn't able to try their regular Ramen on the menu. But they do offer a miso base Ramen that is not on the menu and lots of veggies that was DELICIOUS! My fave thing was the crispy sushi! Not what I expected, but exceeded my expectation. We also had the shrimp dumpling that I did not photograph which were also really good.“
“Our server tonight Eddie was awesome! He was so friendly and genuinely cared about our experience. The food was so fresh and you could tell it was made with love. :) Thank you Eddie, and everyone I met that went out of your way to make tonight so special and wonderful. ☺️☺️“
“Never understand the fragrance of these eatery places.Thea staff was AWESOME. My friend and I were seated quickly, drinks served promptly and the food took about 15 mins after our order was taken.I enjoyed everything on my plate, my friend did too, she took home her left overs for breakfast.... lol“
“Had the Pepper steak tonight, it was so delicious. My server Michelle was attentive and helpful with all my questions regarding the menu. Loved the atmosphere as well. The manager Alex also came to my table to make sure we were all having a good night. I will definitely be coming back to this location.“
“Just visited my BFF of 40 years and we learned Lotus has moved as we always dined here when they were in Wilton Manors. OMG…it’s better than ever!! We were so impressed that we visited 3 times during my 12 day stay. They have a beautiful new restaurant, a young, fresh FRIENDLY staff, and the owner visits each table and engages with every customer. Food is even better than before and portions are huge!! Lotus is also very LGBTQ friendly…just as they were in Wilton Manors. Highly recommend!!!! Five stars!!“
“After hearing a rave review about Cote in Miami, which was part of Miami Spice last year, we finally decided to try Korean BBQ. Gou Lou Cheong BBQ was our nearest location. The pictures and reviews on YELP were more than enough to confirm the restaurant. Honestly, we knew about this place for years and years, but never visited due to lack of knowledge about Korean fare. Once inside, we were greeted warmly, as we perused the menu on the wall. Just so you know, the place is small, very small. Enough room for a few people to order. Gou Lou Cheong BBQ is all about take-out, not dine-in. Regarding preparation, all of the food is prepared on-the-spot. We never had duck before, so we selected the roast duck with rice and cabbage. Never had honey-roasted pork or sticky rice with Lotus leaf, so we chose those too. We received additional sauces for both orders. Both dishes were adequate as they were, so to us, the sauces were bonuses! As we stated, the pictures and reviews brought us to Gou Lou Cheong BBQ. And it is the food and the service that will bring us back!“
