The service and food were good. However when my food arrived, my baked potato wasn't done and was told 3 minutes more. Twelve minutes later it was delivered to the table. By then I was done with the meal. If I knew that I would have ordered something else. Poor communication. Won't be going back anytime soon.

This place. Came in from out of town for a reunion. Was treated to dinner here by friends who are locals. They said they'd not been here in a while but had been pleased in the past.So. Hubby got fried oysters, a favorite of his. He ate maybe two of the oysters. Said they tasted freezer burnt. He ate leftover pizza at our hotel room.I had grilled snapper. The skin wasn't crisp. The fries were underdone and the hush puppies were just cornmeal mix and water. Dry, bland and a touch underdone. I think the oil was too hot. The sweet tea could melt the enamel off your teeth. If you like tea that sweet then you're in for a treat!The server was good, which is why they got 2 stars instead of one.I'll hit up a Captain D's before I'd come here again.

Last two times we went order was wrong. This last time -April 7, was bad from the moment we walked in. No gift cards being honored, which I planned on using. Place was filthy, waitresses were moody and not friendly at all. I ordered a combo, scallops and clam strips- no scallops. Told waitress, she said they’re on your husbands plate?! Why?? She didn’t know. I would think they can do better. Clean the place, hire nicer staff. I’ll probably give it one more try, after all I have $100. In gift cards I’d like to use.

We go there often. Everyone is so nice and friendly. The servers are very attentive. The food comes out nice and hot, with a generous serving. I love their garlic mashed potatoes. My husband never cared for hush puppies until he tasted theirs. He always gave me his but that doesn't happen now. My only problem is their coleslaw is at room temperature and I would prefer that to be cold. But that's just me I guess.

We went on Wednesday night as my husband and boys love seafood. It said open until 8, we got there at 7:15. No one came up to us to sit us down. Finally a lady went behind us and put a closed sign on the door right in front of us and said they were closed. She was very rude. Told us to come back before Sunday as they were closing for good. Who would want to come back after that. No wonder they are closing. The management is terrible.

The portions to price ratio was good. Ton of food for the price. Restaurant is outdated and the only complaint I would have would be, my boiled shrimp were not de-veined. I don't mind pealing my shrimp but they should have been de-veined at the least. Otherwise, the hush puppies, green beans and mash sweet potatoes were very good. Nothing needed extra seasoning or butter added to it. All in all not bad for something different from a hamburger and fries and the waitress was very nice and attentive...

I asked my husband to take me for my birthday on July 18 I had heard many great things about the restaurant. Especially how great their scallops are which are my favorite. When we walked in we immediately wanted to leave because it is so run down and worn out. We stayed anyway because we had driven quite a ways to go there. They were out of scallops they were out of grits so I chose fried fish which was very greasy. This restaurant is in dire need of a facelift the booth that we sat in was so worn out I was sitting on the board no cushion left in it. Unless they completely remodeled the restaurant I will never return. So sad when it came with such a high recommendation from my sister-in-law. But, she had not been there in quite some time. The young lady that waited on us was very attentive very wonderful but when I went to pay her she did not have change for a $20 bill. I finally just tried to make it easy for her and ask her to give me $10 back because I had already left some cash for her wonderful service

We've gone to Cedar River Seafood several times in the last month or so. Our last visit was Friday evening, three days ago. We arrived around 6pm and it was pretty busy, but we were able to get a booth almost immediately. Each time has been similar, a little crowded but not a long wait for a table. The service has been consistently friendly and attentive, even when it's busy. We are surprised by the amount and quality of the food for the price. On this occasion I ordered a SEAFARER’S COMBO for $16.50. It comes with two choices of main menu items. On this plate were deviled crab and fried calamari, with sides of lima beans and cole slaw. All of the dinners have hush puppies too. Almost every seafood item can be ordered fried, broiled, or blackened. It's a lot of food for the price, and quite tasty. It was all worth ordering again. The lima beans are wonderful. The time before this I had blackened grouper, perfectly cooked and more than you can eat. Definitely worth trying if you're a seafood lover.
We have been going here since it opened. The food has always been exceptional. But today, was not a good visit at all. The management leaves a lot to be desired. When we were seated this lovely young lady came to our table and instantly we knew she did my want to wait on us. We were thrown one menu for two people and when we ask for another you would have thought the world was gonna end. She was very rude to us. I had looked forward to this dinner with my mom all week. But we felt that we should just get up and leave because this meal would never be enjoyable. We did ask for a manager only to be told there was no manager. I hope this young ladies day got better. And I think management should have helped her somehow. At least be present !!! Maybe next time.

Charisma was our server and took great care of my family. I actually had to turn my dish back (grilled chicken on alfredo pasta) and the ginger glaze salmon was a much better dish in replacement. Happy they were so cool about it!

Liked the variety of fresh seafood along with preparation options (broiled, fried, blackened). Wait staff is friendly and works hard. Know recent times have been tough for this industry, this location could use an upgrade on furnishings - starting to look older & tattered. Won't keep me from coming back, please don't misinterpret unclean or dirty.
