We had the hibachi dinner and it was delicious! From soup & salad to filet & shrimp, perfect flavor & steak was incredibly tender. Our server was excellent & service was fast. Did not have sushi but the bar was full. Will go back. Very clean. Nice lighted walls too.
Had lunch here today with a friend & it was ok. The staff was very nice and the atmosphere is good. I had the spicy girl roll which was good. It tasted like it was pre-made rather than fresh. My friend had the teriyaki shrimp and she felt like the flavor was overwhelmingly soy sauce.
After a short time, the restaurant changed names and menu. The service is good. The staff are friendly. The menu offers a nice selection of sushi, hibachi, poke and Thai entrees. The decor is cool and sleek. We had the gyoza and crab Rangoon appetizers. The soup has great flavors. The salad dressing is creamy and delicious. The hibachi entrees come with generous portions. The food was hot, fresh and full of great flavors. You should stop by and try them!

First time here, came highly recommended. Atmosphere is warm, inviting, and spacious. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was good overall, but not great. Prices are comparable for the area and cuisine. I got the hibachi chicken dinner bento box and was quite satisfied with the portions. I'm sure we'll be returning to try other dishes.

Despite being named one of the best new Florida restaurants of 2023 by USA Today network, my experience at Kawachi Sushi & Bar was underwhelming. While the Staff was excellent and offered top notch service it could not make up for the food that just failed to impress, often lacking flavor and taste.

First time customer, will definitely be a return customer. Ordered sashimi regular 12 piece, seaweed salad, and scallop hibachi dinner for takeout and everything was excellent. Generous portions prepared to perfection and ready for pickup in short order. Easy ordering by phone and easy checkout, too. Not cheap but a good value considering the quality of ingredients and preparation, highly recommend.

Ordered over the phone for takeout for lunch 1/30/24. I ordered the shrimp tempura Bento box with soup and noodles. OMG! It also had 2 Krab Ragoons and 2 slices of California roll. It was great and I am a food snob. I use to live in Winter Park with amazing places to eat. It was only $13.95 not including tip. Of course tip for takeout. I did. Please go to this place and keep them in business. You will not regret it. This place is legit.
