My wife and I enjoyed our first experience at the Chart House on Thursday, 4/25/2024. Britt was our server and she did a great job. In fact, I spoke with the manager, Peter, to share with him how much we appreciated the outstanding service Britt gave us during our first visit. So, the service was outstanding. Next, the food was excellent. We had the Parm crusted Snapper with the salad bar. While the fish was very good, I especially enjoyed the salad bar. During COVID, most salad bars went away, so it was nice building my own salad like old times. Finally, we ate outside and the views were right out of a postcard. The atmosphere was second to none. When in the area, I recommend that you eat at the Chart House. Heck, you might even ask for Britt to take care of you. Then, be sure to ask for the manager to let him know about your experience.

Loved being able to sit outside.. always a fun destination for a celebration and tried the early dining menu while my mom was visiting and had a wonderful meal. Definitely a great value! One of our favorite places for a special meal and the salad bar.

I went here while visiting my Dad. If I could I would give this a 3 1/2-star rating. The food was good but not great -l’d only rate it 3 1/2. The service was uninspiring. It’s got great views and vibes.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Made a reservation here for my brothers birthday dinner while on vacation. Made the reservation for 8 adults and a high chair on Open Table. Just to be sure we could be accommodated given our large group, we called hours ahead of our 730pm reservation and was told they had the reservation and would have the space to accommodate us. We showed up for our reservation and we were brought to a U-shaped booth with 6 place settings and a chair on the end in the middle of the walkway. We looked to the hostess and said this table isn’t going to work as we still needed another chair AND the high chair. The hostess simply walked back to the hostess stand as I cleared and grabbed the menus to take with us to what I assumed would be a different table that the hostess was looking to find us. Oh how wrong I was! She simply stood back at the hostess stand alongside another male without looking for any other possible tables. So we took it upon ourselves to seek out another option. She said that’s the only table we have to accommodate your party unless a group of 3 would be okay separating off to a different section of the restaurant. We said no, they would not work as we were told our party would be accommodated and we could sit and celebrate together. We asked if we could have two tables near the window that only had a small other table of people between us and she said “No you can’t have that table, we have a VIP coming in later.” We quickly realized at this point that they did not care at all about helping us find a new table and insisted they had provided “adequate accommodations” despite it not even being set for the correct number of people nor having a high chair available. This is completely unacceptable service and we took our business elsewhere. NEVER go to this restaurant as they do not want your business nor will seek to help fix any situation that arises. So BE WARNED if you choose to attend this business as you are not treated as a valuable customer.

Our food was very good but that was overshadowed by our service. Drinks and wine were brought half way through our meal. Our mother’s drink was brought when we were ready to leave. The waiter tried to give us the bill without crediting that drink. Also, the upselling was obnoxious.

Stopped in Chart House on Longboat Key to have drinks. Asked for outdoor seating, and were told it was only for food service, there was not 1 table occupied, asked if we could get drink at bar and bring outside, we were told no!Very rude! So lost 4 people to another restaurant down the road!Where was the manager, restaurant was not full and no one on outdoor patio ! Never going back!!! Very poor people skills

Jessica was great! She handled our large group very well and was kind and funny.Dietary restrictions: They have a menu detailing dietary restrictions which is helpful but I wish they had more vegetarian options without fish.

10oz Prime rib was priced nicely at $37 including mashed potatoes waitress was very friendly and attentive we dined outside with a gorgeous water view
The venue is lovely & servers are very nice. However, service is very poor. Takes forever to get a drink, waited over 45 minutes for cocktails that were not worth the price. Food comes out all at once, they can't time the delivery. If you go have patience!

Beautiful location but service and food was just ok. My wife ordered a filet medium and came out very raw. Should not happen for the amount of money they were charging. Ordered wine and it came out as we were done with dinner. Never an apology and the waiter seemed to forget we were there. Been there 5 times but not going back again.FYI the link never works for any bad review. Is that on purpose?
