Was is desperate need of a real new york style pastrami sandwich, so decided to make the 45 minute drive from Daytona to Longwood as there is no real deli in Daytona beach. Pickles is good not great but pretty good. I would put the pastrami and corned beef on par with Too Jays. The place is pretty cool inside with a full liquor bar. They also serve pizza and a myriad of other subs and desserts, there's something for everyone. It's a far drive so not sure I'd go back, but I would stop again if I was in the area.

I had an Italian sandwich. It was delicious. The bread was amazing!! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the chaotic atmosphere. There was no signage on if you were to seat yourself. It took a while to get waited on and actually had 3 different people stop by my table. Which was nice but it’s hard to tip all 3. Seemed a little chaotic with the employees. They were very busy but seemed like things could have been ran a tad more smooth.Overall I would definitely go back.

Had to walk out on a sunny Sunday afternoon with 7mph wind. We sat outside to dine asked to get an umbrella for the table was told that it was windy (7mph) and that it was a liability because would fly away on a 7mph wind , the other family behind us also asked for an umbrella to another waitress and her excuse " all the umbrella were broken ". They actually didn't care so we got up and left and the other family did to. Pickles is a great food place but a horrible customer service place.

Had great hopes for this place after having read about it for the past 2 months while out of country.Made it my first lunch upon returning, and sorely dis-appointed.Pastrami chewy and tough, and fries were a pile of soggy potatoes..must have thought it ok for a take out.Roast beef nothing special, but c’mon, $31 for 2 such sandwiches?

Ordered take out but glad I stopped in. This place was really hoppin' at 11 am on a Sunday... and this was before the outdoor music was going (they were just setting up). Ordered the Brooklyn Reuben - as good as they come and it's a large sandwich. Also, tried the Avocado wrap - it was pretty good, but not as remarkable like the Reuben. Finally, had the veggie flatbread and it was excellent... not too heavy. Next time we will be dining in for the atmosphere.Vegetarian options: The veggie flatbread was delicious.Parking: It's in a shopping center with a decent size parking lot. We found parking quickly.

I ordered a Reuben last night around 7 pm. I woke up at 3 am with horrible stomach pains and extreme nausea. This has been affecting me all day. I will never eat here again.

Great place! Excellent service! The food is amazing! The brisket melt is so juicy and full of flavor! Onion rings have to be the best onion rings in town! I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area. A very great mom and pop restaurant!

My husband is obsessed. He loves sandwiches and he stated the food has a comfort feeling to it and the atmosphere made him feel like he was back up north. Potato salad was good as well!I was shocked how good the corned beef was, VERY TENDER. Probably one of the best Reubens I've had. Only problem is I wish there was more of it and I wasn't a fan of it being $16. But this also could be my frugal gluttonous self.Another thing that shocked us was the wait time. We got our food maybe 5 mins after ordering ? This felt sketchy and also really good ! Haha. It's not often you get your food so quickly. And it was a pretty busy. We will have to keep going to see if this is their norm or if we just got lucky.Would recommend!
