I would give zero stars if it was available. I wanted BBQ while watching the Bucs play at 1pm. At noon the Lutz location was still closed. I was given incorrect directions to the Florida Ave location, but finally found it. The two male employees were arguing with each other and refused to respond to me when I asked about food availability. The chickens they were putting on the smoker looked like Sam’s Club or Walmart chickens. Obviously I left empty handed and purchased BBQ elsewhere. I will not be giving Whaley’s BBQ my business going forward.

Just stopped here for some ribs. I'm not a fan of sauce on my ribs and I have yet to find a place in Tampa that has good ribs without sauce...until now! If you want absolutely delicious, meat falls off the bone, tender, amazing smoke flavor, massive ribs then stop by here. Hands down the best place in Tampa. He even takes your food right off the smoker in front of you. I'm going back to try the smoked salmon next time! And to top of off the collard greens were on point as well. There was actual texture to them and flavor, not some of the green slime other places serve. I'll definitely be back and you should to!

The pulled pork, and the pulled chicken sandwiches were so good! It's my first time here, after reading about them on the Next Door app. They didn't disappoint me. It was soooooo good! ?

I've eaten BBQ all over the South and Kansas City. The chicken was tender and that's hard to do. The rib meat fell off the bone and very tasty although I prefer my ribs a little dry and the sausage was great. Sides were very good and the BBQ sauce had the right mix of heat and sweetness. Overall 5 stars straight up.

I'm giving one star review when I actually want to give minus 5! We ordered 2 large pieces of salmon for a big 40th surprise party, told it would be ready at 11:00 Saturday am. Went to Lutz location, no salmon, no idea of order. Call Todd twice and texted twice....no response! Had to go to plan B, another fish house in Dunedin, who had a beautiful large fresh piece of salmon ready in time for the party! If you order salmon from Todd @ Whaleys better have plan B ready!!!P.S. He called 1 hour later with excuses!!!

Stopped on a whim, been wanting to try their BBQ for a while now. I have to say the wife and I was pleasantly surprised. Charlie and Dee were very friendly and helpful in our choices. In fact we had a small dinner party the next day and ordered our meal from them, our group loved it. One of my fav's is their smoked salmon. But don't be surprised if they sell out of your favorite, people gobble there meat quickly.

Absolutely delicious BBQ ! Have had the ribs, pulled pork, brisket sandwich, and baked beans, and all were GREAT! This pitmaster knows what he's doing! It's a roadside stand with takeout only. We were served within a few minutes of placing our order.

Great customer service. Pull pork decent. Barbecue chicken tasteless. No smoke flavor. No grill. Tasted like baked chicken. Sauce? No it just won’t do. I’m from Alabama and Tennessee is my 2nd home. This was a fail for my family.

Don’t waste your time. I called 15 prior to coming to confirm they have food. I wanted to order ahead of time so I could pick up and go. The lady on the phone told me they don’t do pick up orders. I finally got the the BBQ food truck/ shack and of course they had no food cooked at all @3:00pm.Thank you for wasting my time.
