“I love Zaxbys, but the Macclenny store is the worst one...consistently! Numerous times they've gotten my order wrong, or left the dipping sauce out (and charged me extra to get it), or the drink machine is out of some drinks. Today it was out of ALL the drinks that I can have that I like. So I paid for free water...again. Happens a lot here. I've complained to the store and to corporate numerous times, but NO ONE from that store will contact me. It's been well over a year since I started contacting them and I've still not gotten a response from them. When I talk to one of them in person, they just don't care and act like they have no idea what I mean. 1 star.(The Fernandina Beach Zaxby's, however, is great!)UPDATE Nov 2022. Maybe they’re getting better. Our order has been correct and good twice in a row. Up until now they were still messing up our orders. Up to 2 stars now.UPDATE: Sep 2023: They've improved greatly!!! I've been here several times in the past 5 months and this year they've got it!! Friendly order takers outside and friendly people at the window. Our orders have ALL been correct!! Excellent. I'll raise them from 2 starts to 5 stars now. Thank you for the improvement. They must have a new manager.“
“This is a typical little mom and pop restaurant.You seat yourself but order your food at the counter first. There is no table side waitress to take your order. Then they call your name when your food is ready. Sort of cafeteria style service.The food was good and I ordered a simple egg and bacon with grits breakfast platter.I don’t like the non-refrigerated creamers in my coffee and not the powdered stuff rather with all the chemicals in it. So I asked for a little milk for my coffee and while I did get what I asked for, the woman who took my order kept pushing the dry creamer and non-refrigerated creamer. It’s like I was asking for an entire cow when I asked for a little milk for my coffee! I got the “deer in the headlight look” from her.Overall the food was good. I would come here again. The prices are low for the amount of food you get.“
