Food was really good... like it was when I was growing up. All they need now is to renovate the building, especially the restroom!

How can you have a dry chili cheeseburger? Place was dead. After waiting 15 minutes for food, they seemed insulted that I came to ask where our order was. I don't understand why locals rave about Kappys. I've never seen the attraction.

Kappy's been serving subs in Orlando for the past 30 years. It's simple why, they make great subs, using locally baked bread. The subs are packed full of items. Service is good, and efficient. It appears that the shop used to be a drive in restaurant.

*BEWAREwhen paying in cash here. be sure to count your change especially if the old lady with the curly hair and glasses is working the register. i ordered a beer, gave her a $20 and realized later she handed me 6 $1 bills and shes kinda rude.

If you’re expecting to grab a sandwich for quick in and out, think again. After 20 minutes of waiting for a Cuban sandwich that I prepaid for, and tipped, I left handed. How and the heck does it take over 20 minutes to make a Cuban???Very disappointed and will not be going back nor would I recommend.
Looking for an authentic Steak and Cheese sub sandwich? This is it. Not fancy but it's Gooood.

Traditional, old school, no frills sandwich shop right in the heart of maitland. It's one of the oldest running places in Orlando. The food is made to order and there is outdoor and indoor seating (limited). I sat outside and enjoyed my sandwich and hot dog. Service is counter and efficient.

First time stopping by despite passing the place every day for work lol Definitely enjoyed the old dinner vibe of it all, perfect for a nice day to sit outside and enjoy some good food. I can't wait to go back and try other menu items because overall I loved it. Me and my wife split a Kappy's cheese steak which is more or less a chopped cheese with mushrooms and banana peppers as well as a pastrami reuben. The bread was soft and fluffy and both sandwiches were packed with flavor. I would recommend eating hot subs there on the spot rather than taking them home because they are quite moist and would likely fall apart waiting too long lol. The pastrami was very smokey which I enjoyed. Finally we had their seasoned waffle fries which were nice but I would likely get chips or no side next time just because how calorie heavy the subs are lol. Overall great service, perfect day to sit outside for a nice little lunch out, then walked around the maitland area for a bit after.

Fantastic old style Sub experience. Still in the original building. Cheesteak has incredible flavor. This is the real deal.
