We enjoyed a fabulous meal with a beautiful view of the bay. Food was excellent; we ordered the duck, scallops, and Shrimp Louisiana.

I stopped for a quick bite, the crab bisque was amazing and so was the brie.

I have not eaten there yet, but going from my wife’s comments about it I can list her quotes “ the menu is fantastic! Very creative and fun.” Also, she claims her friends just love place.

Good, very good even, but way too expensive. For a meal for two with no extras, nothing below US$250.00. $325.00 CAD Plus $ valet parking. It's not worth the cost.

Yellow dog is an unassuming building along the side of the road but beyond the door is a real treat. The top floor is quaint and authentic while to lower level opens to an expansive outdoor waterside patio. The food and service were excellent and the prices were reasonable for the quality.Shrimp Florine was very tasty and while surprised to see meatloaf on the menu it was beyond any you have tasted before. The amazing blue crab bisque uses the same recipe for 23 years. The wine menu had a varied selection at reasonable prices. The dessert tray looked great but we were too full to enjoy them. That will be a separate return trip. You won’t be disappointed.

This was are second visit to the Yellow Dog and again the do not disappoint. The food is incredible and the service top notch. We are hard pressed to choose between the food or the deserts both are top notch. We came prepared on this trip and split the Burata tomatoes appetizer, the fish cake BLT and allowing us to not have to split a dessert

I recently hosted my wedding reception here and it was the best decision I made the entire wedding planning process! Of course the food was wonderful, and COMPLETELY worth the price. All the servers who assisted and waited on us were more than kind and helpful (I apologize for my family members who were rude). Throughout the whole process, the staff contacted me with details, set up everything just the way I wanted, and the night went off without a hitch! My only regret is not having every event here! Highly recommend for food, atmosphere, and events!

Food was delicious, I had the red fish special with green beans and red Himalayan rice. The beans were cooked perfectly and so was the fish amazing sear with capers and garlic. I never would have thought to put that much garlic on but it balanced the capers I was impressed.(My step dad was James beard nominated and I'm from The Bahamas so don't take the fish statement lightly). Now the service my girlfriend and I showed up 30 minutes to close no reservation which we hate but we were still greeted by a warm and enthusiastic staff.I think our server was Lindsey but I can't remember. We will be back and Thank you for the great service

The food at this location is really good. It's a hidden gem which we selected for birthday dinner right on the water. The waiter we had was amazing. The desert was very good as well. The menu is well priced as well. I will become a regular at this location. I like this location over the Chart House.

From the street very unpretentious look till you walk inside and you are transported into old Florida .Great venue overlooking the indian river lagoon, well maintained establishment, your dinner will be served with added bonus of wildlife in front of you (dolphins, pelicans etc..) therefore location got 4.5 starsService : very efficient, not rushing , very professional as you would expect in any high dining venue. Therefore 4 star for service.Food: Good menu's choices , execution : most Items ordered needed more flavor.Escargot appetizer: serve on a voul a vent ( puff pastry shell) needed more sauce and added flavor,Smoked salmon over potato cake: the potato cake was too tick and took away the balance of flavor .Main course: potato crusted salmon,The fish was cooked on a flat top with string of potato which were burned (black) and salmon was dried out , had too request extra saffron beurre blanc to try to make it better.Risotto : this ring of risotto placed under the fish was flavorful but overcooked (mushy) not edible. The venue was not that busy during service that's why I was surprise of this little and correctable errors. The culinarytechniques were developed to standardize a certain dish a poor execution of them will produce a substandard product and for a visiting chef trying your restaurant for the first time ignite a few alarm bells.Overall pleasant, kitchen need to focus on execution and pay more attention to details.I will give them one more try in the near future.

Awesome! Can’t say enough about our experience at this wonderful restaurant. We’ve been there before for “date night” but today we celebrated a birthday and brought our 6 young kids. Usually we get the ‘oh great’ looks and such at other places, but not here; and we had an amazing meal as well as a new memorable time with our large family. The service was perfect. They have their own custom made yellow-dog coloring books (a full book, not just a few sheets) to help entertain the kids. The food was the best (mahi mahi, steak, pizza (kids, lol), meatloaf, pasta… all so good). First time for the kids at a “nice” restaurant. It’s nice to smile the rest of the day reminiscing on the fun and good time.

I have been reading about this place, and stopped in on a whim. My review has it's ups and downs. Valet service was nice, no extra charge. GM needs a holiday. He told us that we were the 10th people to arrive (that day) with no reservations. BUT, he would work us in. We were immediately sat, outside table, beautiful location. The views are beautiful. Server took a good minute, but was a peach. My biggest issue- we ordered everything at one time (on purpose) we felt really bad about coming in with no reservation, so we honestly just wanted to eat and leave. We got there at 5pm. Place was about 30% full, most of the people being part of a wedding group. It did fill up as the night went on. The time between each course was excruciating long. TOO LONG! We had to wait 20-30 minutes between each course. It was the same for all the tables that ordered apps and drinks. If you just ordered dinner, you were in and out in approx 75 mins. Think about it, we ordered drinks, 15 minutes they arrived. Ordered entire meal, apps, salads, main course. 25 minutes later, we received our apps. The meatballs were spot on, but the corn fritters were very bland. Once completed, we ordered our next round of drinks and waited for our salads and soup. 20 minutes later, we got soup/salad and 2nd set of drinks. The crab bisque was really, really good. The caprese salad was not worth the extra $10 upcharge. Finished that, set for another 20 mins. Finally, was able to order 3rd set of drinks. 20 minutes later only 1 drink came. The other arrived about 10 mins later. Right at the 2 hour mark, our entrees came. I had the risotto with scallops. My man toy had the catch of the day (Sea bass) I paid $56.00 for my scallops and his sea bass was close to $50.00. I received 4 small scallops, about the size of a quarter, a scoop of risotto, and 3 spears of asparagus. WAY OVER PRICED!His sea bass dish looked fine, but was extremely bland. Not a drop of salt. In my opinion, they are charging for the view. They have some great things going for them. Valet, servers, views, drinks, bisque, meatballs. Areas of improvement, GM needs an attitude change, (since he is leading the pack), pricing, time of overall wait, flavor on main dishes. For reference, went to Scott's on 5th for Valentines Day. Had drinks, apps, lobster and filet for dinner, AND dessert. Was in and out in 2 hours, everything was perfect, and I paid $75.00 less.
