Old lady behind the counter has a nasty attitude. And their truffles were rock hard, stale and no flavor. The worst chocolate truffles I’ve ever had in my life. They were so hard I almost broke my teeth on the first bite. Sorry excuse for a chocolate shop.

Prepare to be swept away on a gust of flavor as you indulge in the exquisite Sea Salt Chocolate Caramel at Dolce Mare Sweets. This tantalizing treat is a perfect marriage of rich chocolate, creamy caramel, and a hint of sea salt—a symphony for the taste buds that leaves a lasting impression.During my recent visit to Dolce Mare Sweets, I had the pleasure of experiencing this delightful confection, and it exceeded all expectations. From the moment I took my first bite, I was transported to a world of indulgence and bliss. The smooth, velvety chocolate provides the perfect canvas for the luscious caramel center, which oozes with sweetness and decadence. But it's the subtle addition of sea salt that elevates this treat to new heights, adding a burst of flavor that balances the richness of the chocolate and caramel with a touch of savory sophistication. Each bite is a harmonious blend of contrasting textures and flavors, creating a truly unforgettable tasting experience. And with each piece meticulously crafted by the skilled artisans at Dolce Mare Sweets, you can taste the passion and dedication that goes into every creation.Whether you're a devoted chocolate lover or simply seeking a moment of culinary indulgence, the Sea Salt Chocolate Caramel at Dolce Mare Sweets is sure to captivate your senses and leave you craving more. The food here is old and stale and way overpriced. The people working are beyond rude. I used to really like the place but can tell the quality has pretty much completely diminished over the past year. It’s like they don’t even try; just a bunch of dollar store candy they’re trying to sell for like $15. The the trashy attitudes of the people working is just so tacky and unpleasant.

We got got three different flavors (Peanut Butter, Tiramisu, and Cookie Dough)and they all basically tasted like vanilla. I've never had peanut butter ice cream not taste at least a little bit like PB. Very disappointing considering it cost $25 for three single scoops. Should have just went to Publix and got a quart of Tillamook. We will not be going back.

Tried the strawberry shortcake and everything but the kitchen sink. Was amazing! My nephew loved the chocolate fudge! Wish I would have gone there earlier in my trip. Highly

We stopped into Dolce Mare last night after dinner, and it is such a cute little spot! There's a little bit of something here for everyone. There are gift options, boxed/bagged chocolates and candies, lots of little collectibles, and a ton of fun things for kiddos. In the back are homemade gelatos that are every bit delicious as they are beautiful. On the right are chocolates and other treats. The young lady behind the gelato counter was really sweet and let my son have the full test and pick your favorite experience! No surprise, he picked the birthday cake flavor topped with lots of sprinkles. I think my husband got a chocolate flavor of some sort. Both loved their gelatos. I picked out some chocolate for myself - dark chocolate coconut cluster (classic), milk chocolate cappuccino (yum!), and a dark chocolate tiramisu. I didn't quite taste the tiramisu, however, could tell it was very high-quality chocolate and enjoyed it nonetheless. If you find yourself in Marco Island, definitely come to Dolce Mare for a treat!

I would give this place a sixth star if I could. There's no way my photos will do it justice (I couldn't even wait until after we'd started eating), but we got strawberry, mint chip, and rocky road in one large ($10) and banana Nutella, cappuccino, and peanut butter in the other large. Every single flavor was delicious. I'd recommend them all. However, if you just want one refreshing flavor, I'd say to pick mint or strawberry, as you don't really need both in my opinion. The staff was also excellent. Everyone was kind and friendly to us, but the person scooping the gelato was the best. They were clearly knowledgeable on the flavors and recommended some of our favorites. If I could make one recommendation to this fantastic establishment, it would be to offer flights!! $15 for 6 half-scoops would be perfect. There were so many other flavors I wanted to try, but there was no option for a flight. If there was, I would have gotten the flight while my husband got a two-scoop. So, to reiterate, in case it's not clear, the flavors here are SO good that not offering flights is a crime. Please consider offering flights.Dietary restrictions: They do have dairy-free options! The strawberry is very good.

This place is awesome. I'm surprised that I haven't reviewed it before. Amazing gelato and treats. I recommend this place to all visitors! The owners are really nice and all staff I've spoken with are kind and helpful.Vegetarian options: It's possible that there is meat in the store, but not that I can recall (I'm thinking some kind of bacon chocolate thing is possible). Plus they have labeled vegan options! (The vegan gelato is good)Dietary restrictions: Non dairy options are also available!Kid-friendliness: Would be a treat for well-behaved children. If they're bouncing-off-the-walls, I'd leave the kids outside (but definitely still take them some gelato to-go).
