We ordered take out last night because of spring break being busy. Chilean sea bass was not edible so we threw it out, Chicken Phyllo was dry, Verdi's Meatloaf burned. Not sure if this was because the food was sitting in a reheat area?. Disappointing because we've been coming for 10 years. Mushroom Crostini appetizer sauce was delicious, but they put 2 small crostinis in the bag?? $160. There is no way we would recommend take out from this restaurant.

We love Verdi’s!! It’s a must stop for us every time we visit Marco. The menu is fantastic and we have been coming the last 17 years!! Highly recommend the Chicken Phyllo and all of the desserts!

This was our first visit to Verdi American bistro in Marco island. We were outdoors adjacent to the parking lot. The noise level was high, but it was a beautiful evening and we did get a glimpse of the Sunset. Our waiter, James, was excellent. He checked on us often. Food was excellent. I had the duck and my wife had Chilean Seabass, Prepared to perfection.

Best meal we have had on Marco Island! Service was excellent as well. We booked a reservation late in the day and had to eat outside which basically were tables set up with a view of their parking lot. Other than that everything else was wonderful!

I have eaten here many times when in Marco Island, but this time outdoor seating was not setup. Five people waited on us. A real confusion on the server side. They ran out of seltzer water. Food was good.

The food was marvelous and I would eat there again. Our problem was the hostess who seated us without menus. It took over 10 minutes for our server to come to the table. Once things got started, everything was great. At the end of the meal, we asked our server what happened. She stated that the hostess should not have seated us without menus. No menus meant the kitchen was backed up. She further explained that the hostess was new. Note to restaurant: high season is not the time for inexperience

We love Verdies. I had the amazing Gorgonzola mushroom app. So so yummy! My husband had the half rack lamb which is so great for a lesser appetites. My duck was crisp and warm and pairs so well with the jasmine rice and yummy sweet sauces. Our server was very nice. Bottle of wine was priced well. We will be back!

Food was Ok, but waiter was spacey and neglectful. The gnats falling in my food on the patio was a non-starter.

Food was top notch. The waiter Taylor was very good. Prompt and courteous. Only thing we noticed was that almost no one working there smiled. Did not feel like a friendly atmosphere

The waiter completely forgot about us and my husband asked if he could step up service he did not comply. It was a celebration night and sadly to say it was a terrible experience, with all of it.

Verdi's is an old reliable on Marco. Good value on a menu that rarely seems to change. Decor appears that it was the creation of an interior decorator rather than a traditional strip mall restaurant. Don't sit outside unless you are desperate; it's exactly like sitting in a strip mall parking lot, because you are sitting in a strip mall parking lot. The only complaint tonight was time; took 40 minutes after being seated for app/salad and well over an hour before the entree arrived. Fine if you are out with a group looking to catch up with folks but not great for a duo who wants to be done with a simple two course meal in an hour.

We made a reservation at Verdi's based on the Trip Advisor 4.5 rating. Rarely have I been so disappointed in a restaurant as I was with this place. My two companions felt the same way. A hole in the wall, the atmosphere was kitschy, the first warning we had picked the wrong restaurant. The baked brie was lukewarm and mediocre. The Caesar salads were blah. We ordered different entrees. The pistachio grouper was overcooked and tasteless. The scallops were equally bland, lukewarm at best, and served with the muscle. The meat loaf was nuclear hot and burnt on the bottom. Final sin? The chardonnay was warm. The service was just okay, the bill was outrageous for such pedestrian fare. If you're looking for fine dining, ignore the ratings, skip Verdi's, and go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner and great experience for a party of 8. Food was excellent, service was great .. if location was on the water or a better view would be perfect 5. Keep up the great food and make more meatballs .. missed them last night .. sold out.
