Excellent breakfast spot. Fantastic robust coffee. Impressive cinnamon rolls passed our table. Must try next time. The gluten free breakfast was delicious my new favorite healthy breakfast. Lots of menu choices for the family. Service was attentive and friendly. No complications.

It's a gem! Many menu items I'll be returning to indulge in. The jumbo cinnamon rolls definitely cure my fix for the other known cinnamon rolls in the malls and airports. It's worth a drive with so many other options in your city.

Have not been back for too long. The name fits "hidden" Gem. If the place was a little closer to home I'd go much more frequently.

The tuna melt was great but the cinnamon roll is diabetes in a box. It was way too sweet, too much frosting on that cinnamon roll.

In response to the owner: maybe you didn’t read my review. I literally had to find your wife and call out hello after five minutes of some weirdo staring at me and making snide comments. You weren’t closing anytime soon. It says lunch rush hour and you still had at least two to three more hours open. Please just don’t.My first sign should have been that there was no one in here during the lunch rush hour. Just one man who made laughed while looking at me as I walked by. Super creepy. Then the hostess was being told I was waiting and she waited a while then came over with an annoyed face as if she couldn’t be bothered with having to do her job. Maybe the place used to be nicer? I guess the weird crowd and bad attitudes scared everyone off?
Let me just say wow! Let's start with the service, I'm born and raised in canada, so when I came across the friendly faces and smiles at this restaurant, it felt like home! Next, the food, it tasted like my mom had prepared a fresh omlette for me - hot, soo tastey, and a great portion. Yummy in my tummy! Highly recommend, and I can't wait to go back! (I might just fly back down for another amazing meal)

No longer called Gem Eatery. The new name is Holy Cow Ice Cream Store. Great family environment. Activities for the kids and a variety of ice cream and snacks to dig into.

Where do they think they are they can charge prices like this for simple stuff like this at a breakfast luncheonette? They think they are in East Boca? I walked right the hell out. It’s in a beat up dead shopping plaza in Margate. $9 one egg breakfast sandwiches? $16 basic omelettes? $3 plate share charges? Not when Lester’s and other spots in Margate and adjoining towns are at least $2 or $3 less on many items. Even Ethos’ omelette in the fancy Promenade in Coconut Creek is only $13, and that is a NICE restaurant.

Very cozy and relaxed place to get a good breakfast or brunch. The food is amazing and they make everything in house, you can feel the care in the taste and find a true homemade food. The good music background is always a plus! We go there almost every week! My best recommendations are the Eggs Benedict and the Stuffed French Toast.
