I just had lunch there and it was ok food wise and not crowded which was nice. First entering it seems like you’re in a beat down Elks Lodge type scenario. Service was extremely good and food was 3 out of 5 stars. It was just ok. BBQ tasted fine, bbq sauce is best described as “watery”. Potato salad was decent and broccoli slaw was really good! I wanted the smoked chicken wings but they had sold out for the day at 1pm. Final take, if you’re looking for a quick, uncrowded family meal, give them a try. It’s just lacking atmosphere and furnishings/decor. First impression definitely lacking was yuck. I will go back to try chicken wings and for that delicious broccoli slaw. Great no frills place to stop by and have a beer at the bar too without tourist crowding.

From entering the door, the staff made us feel welcome, comfortable, and they were very accommodating. Had a jovial time talking with the family centered owners and staff who took the time to greet us. The kids enjoyed themselves. Game activities such as pool tables, dart boards, and televised sports events were absolutely perfect. The staff cared enough for our group to seat us away from the length of the pool tables. As great as all of that was, the best was yet to come. The food was mouth-watering delicious. It didn't come to the table in a New York minute, but it was well worth the wait. The BBQ briskets and ribs were off the chain. Everything we ordered from the menu was done to perfection. We were just passing through FWB for the weekend and heard about Poppy C's and decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did. Their eloquence in service to the military family is recognizable just from approaching their establishment. Heartfelt salute to the owners and staff.

For a little hole in the wall, dont let that scare you, this place had amazing BBQ. Just out of sight. Great local place, great friendly service. Definitely recommend getting your BBQ fix here.

I came here before an evening ride to try some BBQ. I smoke brisket at home and every new BBQ place I go to, I try the brisket to see how it compares. This is the first place I have been to where it was worth ordering the brisket. The Mac n cheese is the best in town, and the broccoli slaw was great as well.

We were looking for an alternative to seafood while on vacationHubby wanted bbq, and after a search for restaurants, decided on this one. Easy directions from Destin hotel to Ft Walton address. We arrived a little after 5 pm, so they were not busy yet. Quick seating and taking drink, food order. We had a combo plate of pork, chicken with 2 sides, and a pork platter with 2 sides. The food was great.

I cant decide which i love more. The BBQ or the family environment.The bbq is the REAL DEAL, you can taste the slow and low smoked flavor…. Bbq is an art and these guys are passionate about what they are doing.The menu has more than just BBQ plates, they have some more adventurous meals as well, i tried the bbq pizza and was hooked instantly…. Perfect blend of flavors on crispy delicious crust! Now I cant wait to try the other pizza combinations.My other favorite part is their atmosphere. FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED and MILITARY VETERANS!!! I watched the grandson work side-by-side with his grandmother, and Ive met both parents, (both are USAF veterans), it was cool to watch them all working together as a family and including their guests into the camaraderie.I’ve started using Poppy Cs as a meeting place with my carclub friends, Poppys is the perfect host and they have definitely earned our customer loyalty

I only stopped in for a pickup order for the family. And we ALL LOVED EVERYTHING WE ORDERED. Phenomenal bbq! But they didn't stop there, even the sides were fantastic! I almost went back to see if I could get a big order of the Mac and cheese and broccoli slaw, cuz our toddler ate it all! And she typically doesn't recognize food unless it's French fries or grapes lol!We'll be ordering from there more often now.

Amazing food! Very surprised; went in yesterday for a quick bbq dinner. Wasn't thinking much, but was very surprised by the open atmosphere and kind employees, owners, and even fellow customers. Food came and was AMAZING! It was exactly the type of "home cooking food" we were looking for! Will definitely be back again! Thank you to the owners; such a kind family! A decent BBQ place where the most interesting dish was the BBQ beans with meat. There was a little of each type of meat mixed with the beans. I also had the pulled pork and Mac and cheese. Both were good, but I've had better. The Habanero and honey sauce was good, but I would have liked it better warm or room temperature so it didn't cool down the pulled pork. Overall a good experience, but not one I'm going to rush to repeat.

I've eaten BBQ all over the US and this was one of the worst. Ordered brisket and pulled pork and both were served cold. The brisket tasted like liquid smoke so bad I couldn't eat it. Maybe it was just an off day but a Friday at noon, I would think the food would be better.

Poppy C's hosted our local car show meet and great. Extremely friendly staff and offered an outstanding BBQ buffet. I cannot stress enough how delicious it was! They had pre made cups of sweet, mild, and hot BBQ sauce which is great instead of the pump bottles. They offered pulled pork, sausage cuts, baked beans, and baked macaroni & cheese that was to die for!! Everything was fresh and full of flavor. Also, the all you could eat buffet was reasonably priced at only $15 which I feel is great considering the high quality and taste of the food. I did look over the menu and they had everything from BBQ to pizza to wings. All of which still was very reasonably priced. I'm glad I was able to try this establishment because of the car show; but I will definitely be back again sometime!
