Normally when restaurants open there are a lot of kinks to work out the first month or so. Not the case here! It’s been open two weeks and I have been here three times. I am surprised the service is so good for as busy as it is, and the food is even better. I have taken the time to complement bartenders, servers, etc on how good everything is. Last night I was there and I was going back and forth on whether to get the chocolate cake desert. The bartender said if I didn’t like it she wouldn’t charge me. That kind of service folks is what keeps me coming back. I can’t recommend this place high enough. Oh and to top it off, on weekends they have dedicated parking spots for motorcycles. Awesome!

With all the money spent to make it beautiful, the experience was not good. We were seated, waited a long time, the server was bad, placed drink order and apps and food. The apps came out 15 minutes later and no tea. The food finally came out and then we got our tea after plates for lunch were set. Food wasn’t good. We tried many items.food is prepackaged garbage, nothing fresh and fun about it.It looks amazing inside though.Disappointed another big todo about another bad restaurant.

It just reopened after the hurricane and all I can say is WOW! It is now our new favorite restaurant in the area!! We had been looking for a restaurant with waterside dining and Yucatan has plenty of seating by the water! It also has beautiful island atmosphere, great food, and prompt service. It’s the exact kind of tropical restaurant you want to go to when on vacation or frequent if you are local. We plan on going again and again!!

Nice atmosphere on the water. Decor was cool. Trinity gave great service and very attentive. That bartender should give classes on how a Cat 5 hurricane cocktail should be made. The grouper burger was great. The blackened shrimp skewers and wings were good. Food came out quick and the place was crowded. Love the reggae music that was playing.

Was there last night, everything was just wonderful, servers, seating everything up to par, was very impressed with the bald headed manager went over and beyond to make sure our experience was delightful, I will definitely be back......

Our server Maryann was great. Food was good, prices were reasonable. The music was obnoxiously loud.

I may be a small tab w/o alcoholic drinks but these folks might not realize the reach I have being an established business owner in town and any who ask will be getting my honest opinion about here. They spent a billion dollars on the landscaping and building , the ambiance is second to none very cool place but that's where the positive ends. I showed up at around 7:45 and sat at the bar so there wasn't a wait. Hosts were friendly, views were awesome. The swing chairs suck but we all know that. More of a novelty item. Either way all is well till I watch everyone around me get their food before me and then finally after people start leaving does the lady notice I'm still sitting there over an hour later no food. Still wasn't a big deal till when I got it A it was tiny as can be, and B was extremely over seasoned. I had been warned by the couple sitting next to me that they are still trying to figure out the food and that they didn't like it so I was not shocked to experience the same. The shrimp was super fishy tasting for some reason, and the "Alfredo" was extremely spicy, and not very tasteful. Like they just threw every seasoning they had at it back there. What brought me to write this review is when who I assume is a Manager of sorts was a bald guy with ear piercings asked me how it was and I told him honestly but politely, he just shrugged it off and walked away. So I had to pay for another bowl of "butter" noodles so I could tame down the original plate enough to eat it, and also get enough food in me to not be hungry when I left.At the minimum I figured he and the bartender would comp me for the $7 kids bowl of "butter sauce" (which also had 3 pounds of spice thrown on it for some reason) but instead they didn't. In fact the whole place was almost cleared out by the time I finished my food because of their mistake loosing my order. No sorry, no we will make it right. Just $35 for $12 worth of food, and a sour attitude. I still tipped the lady over 20% even though she was worth 15 herself. If your going there to get drunk and look at the views, I'm sure it's the spot for you. If your going there for an actual good meal forget about it, they spent all their money on the landscaping to afford a decent cook staff and management. Don't just take my word for it, ask the locals. I wouldn't have wrote this if the bald dude maybe payed a little more mind to what I was feeling ??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️

Tonight's dinner at Yucatan was an absolute delight! Every detail was handled perfectly, from the warm welcome at the door to the attentive service throughout the meal. The menu was a gastronomic adventure filled with seasonal specialties that excited the palate. We opted for the shrimp cocktail, which was visually stunning and deliciously prepared. The flavors were rich, well-balanced, and perfectly complemented by water. The highlight of the evening was the key lime pie, which was recommended by our server. It did not disappoint and was the perfect end to a beautiful dining experience. The ambiance of Yucatan and its impeccable service make it a must-visit spot. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience in Matalacha, Florida. Hats off to the chef and staff at Yucatan.

Beautiful rebuilding following the hurricane damage. The swing seats at the bar are a very nice addition. Food was very good. Ahi appetizer was good but over seared to my liking. I would have preferred it more raw. Grouper sandwich was delicious with a nice large piece of grouper served. Shrimp tacos were delicious. Broiled scallops with cheese were done perfectly although I was hoping they would be a little charred from searing. Evidently broiling them, doesn't give the slight char. But they were still delicious. Two nice large bars.Nice selection of options on the menu. Service by Trinity was outstanding. She's a very pleasant, friendly young lady who was conscientious about what she was doing. Outdoor view seating was very nice.
