I want to give it five stars but there were a few things that were slightly off although the portions are amazing and the staff is great could use the little more lively atmosphere however I do love all the wall hangings and everything there so definitely a high four stars four and a half if I have to say

So to start the chicken in the burrito had a horrible smell to it and a very metallic taste like it was spoiled or something. My boyfriend ordered the steak burrito and it was covered in what appeared to be literal dog food canned chili and we sent his meal back. The waitress was nice to switch it out but the steak in the burrito had the same metallic taste. We spent over 120$ for dinner and drinks for 3 people. I always wondered why the parking lot is dead now I know. Thank god we didn’t get sick # kitchen nightmares!

WOULD 100% GO BACK FOR THE SERVICE ALONE. First time trying El Chico, and I was satisfied! I had the great privilege to have Kevin H. be my server. I would have thought he was a 5 year veteran server at this location. To my surprise, when I spoke to the manager, it turns out Kevin was JUST out of training.In my opinion, he was the embodiment of everything that you want your server to be.Food was good, restaurant was very cute and decorated from top to bottom. I had a very good experience.Kevin 10/10

I had a really rough week and really wanted to go out for a fun night with a friend and my son. We were sitting there eating our salsa and chips and a roach starting crawling on the wall next to our table and then next thing we know it was on our table. They comped our meal but gave us an attitude the rest of time and we seemed to be bothering the server whenever we asked for something. I ordered the chimichanga and I understand what the other reviews were saying about the frozen chicken. It was not that great at all. I asked for a margarita and said that we'd have to pay for it .. I'm sorry but we should have just left.. then we got dessert and the brownie skillet tasted like the butter that was used was spoiled. This used to be my favorite place to go but I will not be returning.
