Firehouse Subs is based in Jacksonville, Florida. It was founded in 1994 by brothers (and former firefighters) Chris and Robin Sorensen. The American based restaurant chain boasts over 1,200 locations in 46 states, with additional locations in Puerto Rico and Canada. Florida houses the majority of these with 179 locales.
It’s a rarity when I have an opportunity to conduct a second review for the same restaurant, or in this instance, the same chain. Toward that end, the West Melbourne location (in Hammock Landing) presented just such an occasion. It’s also worthy of note that my previous rating was made, when service was given more weight in the process, in a time when service mattered. However, as the metric has now changed, wherein presently, my score is largely determined based upon the quality of the food, so too has my review, and it’s certainly for the better.
Allow me to digress for a moment, however. I simply must mention that Julian, the counter help, did an outstanding job. Since several additional restaurants were on the itinerary, I restricted my order to two, four-inch subs: a steak and cheese, and a Jamaican jerk turkey. Are these two anything special? No. Are either likely to garner a culinary award, or win a prize for prettiest bellibone? No. However, if I were staring down a Jersey Mike’s, a Subway, or a Firehouse, I’d happily choose the latter.

Excellent tasty pizza with outdoor ambience! We stopped here for lunch and we weren't disappointed. Thin crust wood fired pizza with fresh, delicious toppings.

The turkey salad was huge! I didn’t want the ham, so they put extra turkey.

Must try this place. Located in the renovated old bank of eau gallie, you get to see the historical Beauty of its location, and enjoy some amazing pizza. Large menu full of appetizers, salads, pizzas, and drinks. Wonderful and friendly staff too!

I will say the pizza tasted good despite it was burnt..The Cesar salad was just lettuce not cut up,had to cut it up to eat it was a strange salad.

Great lunch stop wish you were open for lunch now often. Good sized portions. Want to try something new everytime! BLT pizza is a favorite. The bread sticks that came with the baked brie with candied jalapenos were amazing. Will be back soon.

Not all that — friends and I went for dinner. Extremely disappointed. Crowded and noisy in small cramped dining area. Inattentive staff. Dandelion style greens inundated mozzarella tomato salad. One pizza over was cooked, another was under cooked. Skimpy on toppings. Expensive. Limited parking. Not impressed.

Fantastic pizza and service! We tried the Mexican pizza and the Mushroom pizza, both were tasty and cooked to perfection but the Mexican was truly outstanding. Reasonable prices and great attentive service.

We've been wanting to try FM Pizza for quite a while. The opportunity came up again this weekend and this time we were able to put it together. Great location in the heart of Eau Gallie in a defunct bank, with vault intact! Nice people from the moment we passed through the door. FM has outdoor and indoor seating and we were seated at a nice table near the vault. Very friendly server, his name was Kieran I believe. He was super helpful and gave us all the time we needed to peruse the menu and make our choices whether drink or pizza. And plenty of choices there are. Pizza, Salads, Appetizers, good beer and wines available, even dessert. We chose the Exotic Mushroom Pizza and it came out beautifully presented. Light and extremely tasty as we had hoped for. Also had an Arugula salad..again, just the right amount and very fresh. Obviously the owners must have a great hand on this business. FM was filling up with people and everyone seemed to be having a great time. We'll be back as there are many offerings yet to try. It's exciting to see a business succeed by being outside of the box a bit (in a GREAT way). If you love authentic pizza (plenty of choices and combinations), then I would say that FM pizza is a must-go destination. I'm sure you will agree once you get there and begin having fun! We had the oven master surprise us with a pizza so we got to try something that we wouldn't have even thought of. It had the everything bagel crust omg you have to get it

We had a couple of local draft beers that were excellent. We ordered a basic pizza with mushrooms and extra cheese. It was just a really great pizza. The flavors just came through.

The atmosphere is fantastic! It’s a repurposed old bank. They have indoor and outdoor seating, super clean, nice bar, plenty of off street parking. Service was outstanding. Pizza was good, but their dough recipe needs some improvement. I’m not sure if it’s the ingredients or the actual fermentation and rise time, but it needed more volume. The pizza topping ingredients were very good quality. The olives are presliced canned, which was the only bummer. Their sauce was good. The other downside was that the pizzas were not super hot. Nice beer selection.
