This is my second spin with this establishment, as my first foray prompted a one-star rating. Upon reading the previous review however, it began to register with me that my low ranking was made in a time and space, when I evaluated largely on service, a metric which I have since deemphasized, and have come to regard as an arcane practice. Toward that end, and for context only, I will note that the attending server on the first occasion was abominable.On this occasion however, Holly is our gweinydd. She has worked at the diner for eight years and further offers that she is also its manager. Holly operates at full throttle, despite working an exhaustive and busy day.Now, turning my attention to the quality of the food, this is good stuff. The redneck breakfast burrito is chalked full to the brim and is stuffed with eggs, bacon, along with ham, sausage and American Cheese. It is so filling, expertly prepared and is well executed to boot. The Greek burger is luscious. it is carefully handcrafted, cooked medium rare, with gobs of feta cheese, and served with tomatoes and onions.Although It’s a practice some might consider rare, by modern standards, it’s nonetheless worth noting that the tzatziki is made in house. My tastebuds were tantalized, as the sauce absolutely rocked. I was hooked on the first savor and was compelled to make a request for a large container to take home.In my initial impressions, I was quite negative regarding my assessments of this diner. Well…no more.Big Boy says, “Open your jaws, it’s safe to go back to Harbor City.”

I was a little skeptic when i walked in and it smelled like my barns back in Nebraska, but the food and service was worth it. Great Food for the price you pay and the server and cook were both very nice kind and knows how to take care of you like you are family. My wife ordered a gyro which was better than the ones served at an actual greek place. Im coming back here for sure.

My husband and I have eaten at Harbor City Diner several times and have never had a bad meal or poor service. The food is delicious and the service is awesome. Being from New Jersey, my husband loves the Taylor ham omelette. I’m from Alabama and could eat the biscuits and gravy all day! The gyros are fantastic and on Tuesday’s they are buy one gyro get the second half off. Great deal !Parking: There is plenty of parking.

We stopped in for lunch during the week. Sadly, there were very few patrons there. The lunch special was buy one Gyro and get the second half off. That’s what we got and they were delicious. I’ve never had so much lamb on a gyro before. The fries were made from real potatoes too! That’s getting hard to find. The prices were much lower than most other restaurants in this town. We will be back soon.

i hoped for a classic diner and got one 3 rungs down the ladder. everything was the cheapest possible and the smell made eating not appetizing

Definitely a hidden gem. Another place that looked a little run down but we decided to stop anyway. And we were glad we did! Food was amazing and large portions and cheap! Only draw back was once we walked in we got hit in the nose with a very pungent odor like a sewer smell that almost made my wife and daughter 2nd guess wanting to eat there. But we toughed it out and the smell kinda went away after a bit or we just got used to it. Service was a little slow too but the girl was new or so we were told by an older woman who filled in and got us some drink refills. Overall, food was good! And we would definitely eat there again if we ever get back down that way.

I love this Diner. I have been there for thanksgiving dinner as well as several times during the year. Their breakfast and lunch menu is quite large and varied. This is a true scratch kitchen where all the food is fresh and made to order. You never leave hungry, that’s for sure. The service is always friendly and fast. They are our “go to” restaurant for family friendly dining.
The overpowering scent of cleaning chemicals hit as as soon as we walked inIt smells like they wipe the tables down with very strongly perfumed cleaner, so that's all we smelled the whole time we were in there.My Omelette was huge but the breakfast potatoes were flavorless. The waitress decided to take our condemns to someone else, therefore left us without ( definitely not acceptable) coffee is nothing to brag about.Needless to say, we want be returning customers.

Great service from Vanessa! Started with a generous plate of Greek Salad. I appreciated that everything was cut up small. Enjoyed the Chicken Souvlaki, which was served on a bed of rice with, onions, peppers and taziki sauce. Toasted points of tasty fresh pita bread with fresh tomatoes adorned the plate. Also included a small side of delicious homemade Cole slaw.

Had an absolutely fantastic breakfast The Omelette was excellent especially the fact that the tomatoes were sauteed before they put them in, so the omelette was not runny and Nicely seasoned. Fantastic hash browns nice and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Our server was so kind and attentive!!

If you're looking for an awesome place to fill your tummy I highly recommend Harbor City Diner. Each time I've eaten there I was extremely satisfied with the entire experience. The food is delicious, the portions are huge, the service is terrific, and the prices are very affordable. My favorite part? It's a friendly place where everyone smiles!
