this place was always a joke

Really wanted to try this place but they are closed. Not sure why, restaurants have been allowed to be open for 3 months now. Seems like a small business would want to be making money. We went to a competitor up the road instead and won't be back. If they don't need to make money then they don't need mine ever.

Delicious french toast, perfectly cooked fried eggs. Quick service. Highly recommend.

This Melbourne, FL local breakfast favorite used to be called "The Egg and I." Though they changed names (due to not wanting to jump on board the First Watch corporate train), the food and service remains great! My mom, fiance and I came here for a nice Sunday breakfast and our only complaint was that we couldn't decide on what to order (too many good choices) and we couldn't fit more food into our bellies.Located in a plaza on the corner of Wickham Road and Lake Washington, The Eggceptional Egg is a locally owned, small business located on the end of the same plaza as a grocery story, LA Fitness, Tuesday Morning, Metro PCS, nail salon, etc. so you can take a nice stroll after your meal. Our server was attentive and friendly and our food came out very quickly.I ordered the Wisconsin scramble (I love cheese!) with a side order of cheesy grits - yum! My fiance was disappointed that I rated these eggs higher than the ones that he makes for me. He ordered a walnut chicken salad sandwich with a side of dressed greens (that I took a bite of since I love whatever dressing they use!) and happily gobbled it up. My mom (who traditionally doesn't eat everything on her plate) ate all of her bacon avocado scramble (she also got a side of cheesy grits like I did). We definitely can't wait to come back so we can try the other scrumptious menu items!

Great food & atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable and the service is top notch. I highly recommend one of the skillets, the Cambridge Skillet is my favorite. One of Melbourne, FL favorites for breakfast, lunch, or brunch.

Had breakfast here and the eggs were very good; bacon done right; and buttery english muffin was yummy. The home fries were good, a little salty for my taste, but good flavor. Our waitress was very good!!

Food was pretty decent.. but!!! The hostess shirt was very inappropriate. It read psycho, murder everyone. Kind of disturbing especially with kid's friendly

Service was good, coffee was ok. First time I've been to an American breakfast cafe and there's no Steak and eggs (which I was really looking forward to) on the menu. Had the Texas Skillet, would have been really nice except 2/3's of the bowl were burned/dry/hard potato bits! considered the classic breakfast but to get sausage and grits with it cost $16+. Seems a tad pricey for breakfast! Pancake was good! Won't be going back!

We stopped here on the way back from a doctors visit. It was about 11am , so it was closer to lunch time , but we decided on having breakfast. We were seated quickly, as it wasn't that busy. Our server was attentative and patient as we decided on what to have. Right off, I thought that the prices were on the high side for breakfast, but stayed to give it a try. The ambience of the place was comfortable and pleasant. I had coffee to start , and it was ok. I ordered the corned beef hash wt eggs and hollandaise. The over easy eggs came out perfect , on top of a crispy layer of shredded potatoes with a little corned beef in it. I was a bit disappointed it had so little corned beef , and the hollandaise sauce was not tasty at all. It also came wt a buttered English muffin. I did not feel full after eating the dish, and for the price charged, I didn't feel it was worth the money. Breakfast for two came to about , $30 , tip included, a bit too rich for the first meal of the day! Overall , it was a pleasant event, ,even though the coffee was pricey too. Not sure if I'd come back?

Enjoyed a delightful breakfast, I had veggie benedict, very yummy, my husband had eggs, biscuits and gravy. Food was very tasty. Waitress was very good, attentive but not pesky. Staff was very friendly, no matter who they were. Would definitely go back.

I love this place. Me and my wife stop in for breakfast every once in a while and we have never had a bad experience. The food is always great as is the service. What more could you ask for? Two thumbs up
