Had a wonderful dinner at Vita Osteria Italiana tonight. My husband and I have been enjoying this restaurant for several years now and the food has always been consistently good. Thought it was time to put the word out and let people know of another good Italian restaurant South Beach.

Run don’t walk away from this place. Reviews must be fake. My ravioli was served frozen. Pasta was so hard you couldn’t even chew it. The waitress was very nice, but when we complained the manager and the chef Didn’t come over to try to fix or help at all. Bathroom smelled horribly of mothballs. I don’t understand the positive reviews unless they are fake.

One of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. My ravioli was served frozen, and my son's Pasta was so hard he couldn't even chew it. Our waitress was very nice, but no one came over to try to help or fix the situation when we explained that the dishes couldn't even be eaten. Bathroom smelled horribly of mothballs. I have to believe the reviews are false. We are pretty easy to please and love Italian food, but you couldn't even eat this.

I, my wife, and toddler recently had wonderful dinner here. My toddler had buttered noodles and eagerly ate the entirely plate of them, which is unusual for her. My wife and I were in good spirits thanks to even better wine. The octopus appetizer was well-prepared and had the perfect texture (not rubbery or chewy). The entrees (I had the lobster linguini) were perfectly cooked and brought promptly. We closed the meal with espressos and tiramisu, both of which were delizioso. Our waiter (Francesco) was prompt, attentive, and gave excellent suggestions. Overall, we all had a wonderful experience here and will certainly return if we are ever back in the area again.

My husband and I are visiting Miami for 3 days, and we had a wonderful dinner at Vita Osteria Italiana tonight. It was a rainy evening, so we were happy that the restaurant was just a quick walk from our hotel. All the food was delicious, and reminded us of our recent trip to Italy where we enjoyed outstanding food. Tonight we ate bread, fried calamari, gnocchi, risotto and panna cotta. The risotto listed on the menu was a mushroom and parmesan risotto. Because I’m not a huge mushroom fan, I’d asked if the chef would be willing to leave out the mushrooms, and instead, prepare a simple risotto with parmesan. The chef kindly made this for me, and it was sooooo delicious!! The portion was generous, so I got the rest to go, and I will eat it for breakfast tomorrow! My husband mowed down his gnocchi despite his plan to eat lighter tonight. It was that good. Actually, everything we ate was delicious. But what came next was the example of going the extra mile with customer service and kindness: Just minutes after we’d left to walk back to the hotel, I heard a voice coming from behind calling to get my attention. When I turned around, I saw the tall gentleman from the restaurant, perhaps the owner, who’d tracked us down to bring me my umbrella that I’d accidentally left behind. Yes, he did! How rare it is these days to experience such kindness. Most folks would just let it go…it’s just an umbrella, and who knows where these customers are staying. This is the old-school belief of doing kind things for others for the sake of being kind.People like this should be supported! Please dine at Vita Osteria Italiana, and support this business. Not only is the food top-notch but so are the people. We will definitely dine here again the next time we visit Miami. Grazie mille!
