Beautiful and least pretentious restaurant in Miami Beach. Exceptional food with attention to detail served by profesional staff. Great happy hour!

We had the oysters, the red snapper, the branzino, and the rice pilaf on the side. Absolutely beautiful inside with a lovely outdoor space overlooking a pool. The food was fresh and delicious and good size portions. They also make a mean dirty martini. Definitely would come back and try their other dishes!

I thought this place was great- I had read a lot of reviews and I think people are way too harsh on this place.First, the atmosphere can’t be beat. The inside decor is lovely, from the tiled floors to the leather upholstery and open bar and mood lighting- it’s a real nice place to spend a few hours in. They also have a great back patio pool side with hanging lights and a mix of booths and smaller tables. It was super peaceful to be back there dining under the trees. The service was super friendly. I think our servers name was Monica. She was entertaining, friendly and gave really good recommendations and was very accurate in describing the food. She also learned that we were traveling and gave us some recommendations. I thought her attention and care was top notch. The food was delicious. We wanted a lighter meal so we did t order as many items as I normally would so I can only speak specifically to a few dishes. We got there just before 7, and their happy hour goes until 7 with a discounted price on oysters, cocktails and some apps. We got 6 oysters which were prepared fresh and a French onion slider which was very flavorful. For mains we got steak frites and the pasta (torcino). Both were good, and the pasta was packed with flavor and well prepared. The desserts looked good (coconut cake!) and I regret not ordering the corn bread- other tables ordered these and they looked delicious. I also wanted to try the chicken- sounded good.Overall, I would definitely recommend this place.

i was drawn to it by the promise of cajun blackened red snapper. i had to send it back to get one side more blackened and it had hardly any cayenne pepper, which is what cajun blackened red snapper is supposed to have.

This place is a must try!! The outdoor patio makes you feel as though you in another country. Gorgeous trees and lights all throughout the space. The food was hands down amazing. The best branzino I've ever had. The steak tar tar was also some of the best I've had. Monica was our waitress and she was full of energy and great to talk to. We went on a Sunday and there wasn't a lot of people which made us nervous at first but I'm glad we were proved wrong. This place deserves to be packed every night!

Good to see this restaurant on this side of Miami beach. Very nice indoor decor and ambience. Service picked up after a slow start. Food was overall excellent but could have been a bit more NOLA inspired. The gumbo needed a bit more flavour. With some minor things this could be a great restaurant. I would go back.

Customer service could use some help. Felt like staff had deep thoughts about how their lives led them to this moment. Cool ambiance, great happy hour but food and service quality would prevent me from returning.Kid-friendliness: It is not family friendly

Customer service could use some help. Felt like staff had deep thoughts about how their lives led them to this moment. Cool ambiance, great happy hour but food and service quality would prevent me from returning. Also they didn't have half the items on your menu available.

Overall a good experience, food and service was good for its value! However the noise level made it impossible to carry over a conversation, wish they could improve their acoustics!

We had a nice experience at this restaurant but the food was incredibly overpriced for what you receive. The flavours were okay and presentation was subpar as well. The cornbread was delicious because it was bathing in butter. The gumbo was extremely underwhelming with tiny tasteless shrimp. The red snapper was a generous portion but the taste was mediocre. The scallops were a tiny portion but flavor was better than the snapper. One of the positives was their happy hour specials are nice if you are going for an earlier dinner. Overall - can’t say I would recommend this restaurant given other options in the Miami area.

I will cut to the chase - I left Joliet with mixed feelings! 3 stars feels too low, 4 might be a little high. I'm sad because I SO wanted to love it so much. I ordered the scallops and was extremely disappointed. What I received looks completely different than the images I saw from others. For being the most expensive item on the menu, I was expecting a really excellent quality dish. I think across the board the food was underseasoned. Even our fried were salt-less :/ The corn bread was a nice addition, and I heard the Wagyu Burger was great. My friends said the oysters weren't worth it either. On the other hand, I was really happy with our cocktails. The Mango Thyme and Matcha cocktails are a must. The service was a bit slow and they forgot about the oysters we ordered. They also don't do anything special for birthdays, if you indicate it in the reservation, which was surprising for this quality of restaurant. We ended up having to argue with the staff a little lol. This is a beautiful restaurant yet is unassuming from outside. I wish we were able to see the outdoor section but it was pouring when we went! They have single bathrooms, which I love. Overall, I don't think it's worth a second visit.

This charming restaurant can be easy to miss. It is a well-designed and spacious restaurant with wonderful decor and ambience. Most important, the food was simply delicious! Definitely try the Andouille Benedict you will not be disappointed!

A wonderful creative take on a New Orleans experience in a beautiful garden setting. One of the great meals we have experienced in this diverse, vibrant city. Marcello was a knowledgable guide who really knows cuisine and the fantastic food this imaginative place provides.
