We are locals and were excited to try Le Piment last night, since we like to support quality owner-run restaurants in our neighborhood. We were very disappointed. The octopus was chewy and hard to swallow, the duck meat was dry, the duck fat fries tasted like deep fried left overs, and the ratatouille was dull and bitter. Everything was over salted. Nothing tasted fresh. The owner offered to replace the octopus with branzino and the fries with green beans and these, together with an excellent bottle of Chablis, saved our night.

Ah le piment!! At last delicious food with a warm and welcoming atmosphere South of 5th! The owners of this restaurant do run the place and will welcome you, unpretentiously and always with a smile. A little bit of the dreamy islandish atmosphere of St. Barts with impeccable service and that undeniably French twist over great Caribbean dishes.

3 star only for the food, I didn't like anything except onion soup. Soup was the best I've ever tried in Miami but the rest wasn't tasty at all. Some dishes were too salty, another - too much butter (or cream). Octopus was so dry we barely couldn't chewy it. And unfortunately after dinner I felt sick :( Service was excellent, no complains at all. And interior is very cosy. But I don't understand why people left so good reviews about the food... maybe they ate something different then we did...

Great place. Love the 5:30 to 7:30 happy hour. Good French wine for $6.00 a glass. Salmon, daily pasta, pork, clams are all great. Nice outdoor or indoor seating. We live south or fifth and this is one of our favorite places.

This place is an absolutely wonderful dining experience. Delicious and thoughtful food and an inviting, relaxing ambiance ambiance. The rib eye and duck were both cooked to perfection and teeming with flavor. The service provided by Ranya was truly exceptional as were our interactions with Pierre & Mimi. Highly highly recommend!

After being told we had a two hour wait at a restaurant down the block, we came here and couldn't have been happier. The staff accommodated our party of 6 with lovely outdoor seating. The onion soup was delish as was the mahi mahi burger. We had a vegetarian and vegan in our group and both had ample choices. After a lengthy dinner and a few glasses of wine, the owner insisted we try their infused rums, vanilla, ginger and something else....the vanilla was dangerously delicious! I'll be recommending this restaurant the next time someone tells me they are going to Miami Beach.

I went there with friends for a drink, the cocktail was really good and we enjoyed drinking outside (music wasn't too loud like in a lot of places in Miami). Tapas : terrine de campagne et Croque Monsieur
