Started with a rude check in employee who made me wait until she finished all of her other paperwork even though nobody was in front of me in line. No instructions how to get to our room. No thank you for being a Wyndham Diamond member. Didn't use the word please once in the conversation or make me feel valued as a Diamond member. Room was small, but that is immaterial to the review. I didn't expect a suite. Soundproofing in the room was non-existent and we were put next to a fire exit that hotel staff use all hours. Could hear the people partying on the street, loud honking, loud vehicles into all hours. Then the noise started up again at sunrise with garbage trucks for over an hour making loud noises. The soundproofing issue must be known to management. I couldn't be the only person noticing it. IT WAS THAT BAD! Bed was hard as a rock. Not firm. Think firm on steroids. No give at all. I've never had a harder bed at a Wyndham property as usually they are acceptable. Restaurant manager on site (not affiliated with hotel) was wonderful. The hotel staff should take some customer engagement lessons from him. Location was perfect. One of the best spots in world. Hire friendly people on check in is one suggestion. Get modern windows with some degree of soundproofing from the surrounding streets and hustle is another suggestion. Get new mattresses that people can actually sleep on in comfort is my third suggestion. I doubt hotel management will respond. We'll see.

I really don't recommend this place. I was already in a bad mood when I was redirected to a very noisy seat near the entrance, but the food wasn't that good and they didn't seem to care about my table at all, so I quickly stood up. I wasn't even going to give a tip, so I just gave it. It was the worst place.

So this hotel exceeded my expectations because all the reviews were low. love the location ,walking distance to everything. It's a cool old school hotel. Our room was very clean and our sheets were very clean as well. The lady at the front is not friendly but ignore her don't let her ruin your experience. Almost forgot to the mention the AC wasn't the greatest.

we asked for a table for 5 which was really crowded and hard to get to our seats, then we went to order but had only ordered three entres cause the other 2 was still deciding but they didn’t give us any time and started saying that to keep sitting we had to order 5 meals but the people on our table was still deciding and we just wanted to get some food for the ones that was really hungry but they didn’t give us any time to explain, really disappointing

Cockroaches all over the place. As soon as you walk in the room you'll find some. (We saw three the first evening). Some of the staff is friendly. But at least two of the front desk ladies were extremely unhelpful and uncaring. You will wait forever for any service you need. The maintenance person did not speak a word of English and made me feel he is doing me a huge favor helping me unlock the door (the key didn't work). The water in the shower simply doesn't get warm no matter how long you'll wait. They will tell you it will. But the most you'll get is lukewarm water. If you have the patience to let it run 40 Minutes before getting in.... The restaurant is good. Welcoming and sweet waiting staff. Good breakfast. The cleaning lady was nice.

Location is great, right on Ocean Blvd, across the street from the beach. Didn't eat anything there but the restaurant offers sidewalk seating which is always great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Realize that this is an old hotel, with original fittings, woodwork etc. However, the maintenance was not very good and it has not been restored. We realize the prices are for the location but would expect better from a Wyndham product. The closet was especially bad with exposed wiring and black mold. On top of that, they won't accept Wyndham reward points or honor any senior, AAA, or military discounts. Be sure and try Avalon seafood restaurant next door... superb!

Yesterday, Saturday Nov 4, we checked into the Majestic Hotel Southbeach along with another couple. We were given rooms 166 (Sherryl & Ron Anctil) and they (Sara & Kelly Copelin) were given room 165.Yesterday, Saturday Nov 4, we checked into the Majestic Hotel Southbeach along with another couple. We were given rooms 166 and 165.Upon inspecting the rooms, we found several things that housekeeping should have "caught" and cleaned!There was hair on the toilet seats and the coffee pots were disgusting as was the tray they sat on. The beds were hard and a smoke alarm was chirping all night.However the worst thing of all was that the fire door had been wedged open and the door had a screw in the end of it so the door couldn't be locked! The desk clerk couldn't do anything about it and the man she said was the "manager" refused to speak to us and said it was for housekeeping to use.This door is a FIRE DOOR!! An EMERGENCY DOOR!! This door is right next to the door to the room we were given and anyone could come in at anytime putting our lives in danger!For what we paid for the room, this is a disgrace.
