I am living inside the hotel and Iw as wearing casual clothes. I even called the room service if there is a dress code but they said there were none. So here it I am not white and this is a very racist place, it starts from the get go when you enter even though the whole restaurant is empty it seems they only cater to the white people they want to give you smallest place possible even though I came with a cat. And then comes Aziz who is our server who is very impolite and came to ask what do you want to order despite of the fact that we were eager to learn about the restaurant the cuisine oh you are two people and non white wow for him it was no tip day. This is literally a den of racism based on race, religion, the color of your skin even though you paid the same money to stay in the hotel. I hope you are aware and hope any non-white people be aware of this modern den of racism which is waiting for a hefty lawsuit.

Service at the bar was fabulous. Not so much on the patio. Tres Leche was outstanding.

Went to the bar late and had a dessert and drinks. The Tres Leches was the best ever! Our bartender, Michael, was so very nice. Actually the best we encountered in Miami. Thank you for being so attentive and awesome!

Loved the Matador. The food and drinks were excellent, service was attentive and friendly, and the vibes are great. We had a pea guacamole, which was flavorful and fresh. Good combination of flavors and came with a generous portion of tortilla chips. The octopus appetizer was truly exceptional — and my octopus standards are particularly high, if I may say so myself. Full of flavor, soft, and yet cooked through and not slimy at all. Loved that dish. The snapper entree was also fantastic — fresh, very tasty, cooked to perfection, and a good portion.Lastly the coconut tres leches dessert was so great we ordered it again through room service a couple of nights later.Great place!

Food was good but service was terrible. Someone who knows what they are doing needs to take control of the dining room. The place was not busy and there was plenty of staff but the waiters did not seem to know where they were going with food and drinks, some of our food never arrived and our server did not come near us for 45 mins.

The octopus is ridiculous, just get it. The filet burnt ends is ridiculous ( and I usually don't like filet but wow, and yes it comes med rare, not really a burnt end). I was trying to eat clean so I went with the sorbet... again, wow... absolutely wonderful like a strawberry creamsicle.... and great service. ???

Great Ambience with tasty food options. Our server Maria Sanchez provided amazing service and also assisted us to help order popular items on the menu. Chef prepared delicious mushroom dish that was out beautifully garnished and it tasted like something you have never experienced before. Overall our group of 4 had good experience at beautiful restaurant.

Favorite restaurant in Miami. The staff is all wonderful, especially Kelly. We've had her twice and she works so hard! Love the mocktail options, especially the basil jalapeño soda. Order the mushroom!

Beautiful views, top of the notch food. A bit pricey, well worth it.

This was a great dining experience. The staff was super friendly (sometimes rare in Miami), food was delicious, and drinks were great. We ordered half the menu…Iberico Ham, tuna tartare, maitake mushroom, potato nuggies, calamari, charred octopus, butternut squash pizza, arroz con pollo, broccolini, seared snapper, and Brussels sprouts. If it’s in the list above it was good but the pizza got rave reviews and the rice is the same as ABC Cocina and is so good.

The Matador Room is a beautiful restaurant however the staff are very rude, inefficient and failed to deliver any type of acceptable service. The waitress took ages to take our order disappearing mid way, and the servers failed to smile or engage in any way. At the end of the evening immediately after we had paid the staff lit the whole room with very bright lights making us feel.like we had to down our drinks and leave. It's a real shame because the food was overall good and the place is beautiful. Just seems like the staff has no incentive and lack charm.

Terrible experience, long wait more than an hour for drinks and another 45 mts for appetizers , dinner came 35 mts later . Wonderful waitress Kelley who was embarrassed by the speed of things , as she seemed to be the only waitress in the entire restaurant , we were tempted to help her . Horrible birthday celebration for my husband . The restaurant was aware we were celebrating, but it was a complete disaster

The outside terrace is very beautiful .unfortunately we were seated at a table with no view next to a loud table with a crying baby. The first time we were there we were seated at a table with a view of the pool .much better experience. Since the terrace seating seems to be random with preferred seating we doubt we will return . While very good the food is basically Mexican .

It started off very good. The first few things we ordered were wonderful. Unfortunately, that is where it ended. We ordered Seared Snapper, Potatoes and Brussel Sprouts. Potatoes came out with nothing else. We waited 7 minutes and asked about the rest of the food. The waitress finally came back to the table. We asked to have everything at once. She removed the now cold potatoes. Another 12 minutes went by and we still had no food. I walked to the podium to speak to the manager. The manager is absolutely lovely. Unfortunately, the restaurant had a convention group that took all of the attention and the ball was dropped. We decided to not finish our dinner and left. The manager did comp the wine, which we had to keep pouring ourselves and appetizers which was generous. The strange part was that Jean Georges was walking around the dining room, talking on his cell phone and taking pictures. Possibly, he should be focusing on the glaring inconsistencies in the service instead of chatting on his cell phone in the middle of a dining room. This isn't the first time something like this has happened. It's a shame because what we did was wonderful I can stay home and pour my own wine and water. I don't need to go to Jean George's restaurant and serve myself. .
