Well, I'm sure it might've been good if it had been open! We arrived, having confirmed our table through OpenTable, only to find that there was a private party at Pao so we could not get in. We were hugely disappointed that we had not been contacted, for which they apologised, saying they had contacted all the clients using seven rooms booking service, but obviously not those who had booked through OpenTable. We were then offered a table at one of their other restaurants, which was good, but it is not the kind of food we had had in mind for that evening for ourselves, and our guests.

Very intimate ambiance but after all the hype of the food quality was not as impressed. Unfortunately the “72” hour sous vide was hard and very salty. The sashimi was delicious on the bright side.

The small plates need to come out faster. We waited 20-30 minutes in between plates. Incredibly slow service. Tuna tartare taco, crab toast, fried chicken were all mediocre for the price. The Short Rib was the best dish by far. Very good! The bluefin tuna nigiri was also good. The uni wasn't my favorite. It was fishier than the uni I get in San Francisco. I'm chalking this up as a type I've never had before because it did look fresh. Food was okay. Service needs to speed things up. Get the short rib if you do go.

The menu can be daunting in terms of the sheer variety of possibilities. With so many choices, we asked our server Jed to guide us through and it turned Ned out to be a great decision. Pacing and dish selection along with his suggested wine pairings resulted in an excellent evening. So much more to try and a follow-up visit is in our future plans.

The evening starts with 1/ valet that has no availabilities 2/ table that is 80' late while we are on time, 3/ no apple juice at the bar but need to wait 25' for one finally and be charged $15 for it, menu not attractive, dishes very small and over priced, service mediocre and can take 20' for a drink refreshment.

We had our wedding at Pao. We rented out the entire restaurant and patio. It is the most magical location. Our guests cannot stop talking about how amazing the food is at Pao. This space is truly a piece of luxury.

We had high expectations that weren't really satisfied. The menu definitely reads better than it tastes. It is all fine but this is a $$$$ restaurant and flavours were just not there. Even the greens with red curry paste, which should be hot with chilli and aromatic, was timid. The restaurant design is beautiful, service good (though took them 20 mins to find an onion for a Gibson) but food is triumph of brand over substance.

?? for the food and service. However, the only downside was that we had our reservation at 9:15pm and we were only seated after 1h and 15 minutes. Despite the wait, the food and the overall dining experience were great! The manager was super nice and make up for the inconvenience caused and offered us complimentary drinks and added a discount to our bill. This gesture made a big difference to the overall experience.

Service was amazing, they were super attentive and went above and beyond to celebrate our anniversary.Unfortunately for the price though the food was not up to par. The fried chicken was the nicest dish, with a delicate Thai basil flavour. The most disappointing dish for us was the Singapore chilli crab - which is normally a delicious blend of chilli and sweet - this crab was so overpowered by vinegar and did not taste of anything else, it may as well have been salt and vinegar crab. The Wagyu tteok-bokki was done very western style, with the coconut milk making it really bland with small pieces of tough meat to accompany. If you are looking for more western style Asian food maybe you’d like this as a choice, but most of the dishes were just tasting of Thai basil rather than Chinese/Korean

Wonderful, caring, and attentive service from the hostess all the way to the General Manager! Very good cuisine. The Thom Ka Rice, the Salt Bread with Bone Marrow Caramel, and the Fried Chicken were excellent!

Food was terrible, the worst steak I have ever tried! It was pure fat, 0 meat. It’s definitely not worth the money. And the waiter was super rude, didn’t ask once do we like food or not. I would never go again, there are much better places around.

The Ora king salmon was our absolute favorite - the seared sake toro melts in your mouth as well as the Ora king salmon dish with pineapple all of the flavors explode in your mouth. To finish our favorite dessert was the coconut sorbet half shell! 10/10 experience between food and ambiance, we sat outside which was quieter than inside. Be ready to spend $$$$ though!

Great if you're looking for a unique experience and unusual, creative food. Must have a well rounded palate to appreciate the flavors and the recipes. Not good if you're going with children
