Every single time I come to this restaurantThe price is different, first they said the menu is wrong, then the said it’s taxes,$15 for one meal AND no drink plus the service is bad.I won’t be returning here. They should be honest about their prices and give more for the money that we are spending.

Ordered Red peas soup and it was burnt. The dumpling was black. I wish I could post a picture. I tried to call back 16 times but the phone was busy.

From Miami to margate, all the Donnas Caribbeans owned by the same person have been closed down by the health department one at a time and this one the latest in a string of violations, 13 total violations 4 high priority violations. This location shut down by the health department, came back the next day to re-inspect and guess what, FAILED!!! Roaches, roaches, roaches, Don't these people realize this is South Florida and not a third world country!?!? The worst part is that it's not just one Donna's Caribbean, it's all of them. Absolutely shameful.

Donna's Caribbean restaurant food is awesome. You don't have to worry about the portion size you will receive a lot! I've been there different times with the same great atmosphere, maybe one or two in the line inside but there's not a long wait. So if you're looking for authentic Jamaican food give Donna's restaurant a try.

One item was missing from my drive through order. I got extra rice so that indicates they knew but did not tell me that they did not have plantains.

I was very disappointed with this particular location. It was my first time here and I specifically tried this location on its name sake after having tried the one in Miami Gardens on 27th ave. The food at the one on 27th ave was great and an expression of true Caribbean cooking. On the contrary, this one on 2nd ave was quite the disappointment all around. The food (rice, cabbage) was bland in taste. I got the king fish and that was the tip of horrible. It was 1) bland in taste 2) the fish seemed to have been sitting a while and perhaps heated too many times so it was hard and dry. 3) it was originally served cold and heated at my request in a microwave; evidence of my suspicion in 2). That didn’t help none. Disappointed and not up for any disruption of my inner peace. I just threw it away and left. Sides: the fried plantain was the best thing on the plate (given). The salad was a handful of lettuce….. sigh. I ate with a friend and my understanding was that their plate (**** chicken, plantain and salad) was not much different in taste than mine. The service was cordial and the atmosphere relatively clean.

Her warm smile and genuine enthusiasm added an extra layer of charm to the already inviting atmosphere. Marcella's knowledge of the menu, coupled with her attentive nature, made me feel like a welcomed guest rather than just a customer. In town for a funeral stop by for some food. the food was horrible. We ordered stew peas with white rice, it was burnt, with no meat on the pig tail. It was literally eight pieces of fat. I asked the server about the meat. She said I gave you eight pieces. I called the manager and showed her. She said yes I see it, counted eight pieces of fat also. She did not even offer to re-fix the plate. I didn’t want it anymore. I turned around and threw it in the trash in front of them. I guess that is why there was no one else in the restaurant eating. But at Dutch pot right next-door, was a line outside the door with people waiting to get in, and the car were wrapped around the building. We will never eat Donna’s again, at none of it’s location.
