OK, so I was excited to try this place, the reviews kind of deterred me but then I added it back on my list in search of finding the best Jamaican patties in Miami. I should have just left it off the list and followed my first mind. When I got there, the lady immediately told me that the patties will be ready in about 15 minutes and it would be beef. I saw some patties already out and asked her about it. She confirmed they were the curry chicken which was the one that I wanted because in the TikTok video that I saw it looks so delicious. I got the curry chicken one and was disappointed. It was just barely ground chicken pieces that didn't even taste like chicken, it tasted like chicken flavored chickpeas or something. I went back inside to confirm that she gave me the right pattie because I thought maybe it was a veggie pattie or something. I don't know what was going on in that pattie but I threw it away I couldn't do it. In the TikTok video they made it seem as if they're offering chunks of chicken in their curry chicken pattie but they're not.

Patty was dry and mostly crust. The young woman at the counter has terrible customer service skills. I repeated my order to her twice and she still got it wrong and proceeded to say “You didn’t say that…” with an attitude after I politely corrected her because it seems like serving customers really puts her out of her way. I would’ve given her some grace but this is the 3rd time I’ve received this type of service from this young woman on 3 separate occasions and others have noted it as well.Save your time, energy and money and go to Taste Rite.
As always, there was a line, but the ladies who work there are quick in packing and serving. The food is always delicious!Vegetarian options: veggie patties and cabbage as a side itemParking: Plenty of parking in front of Hammonds and all around it.

Love Hammonds been going for years. Their patties are delicious especially the ackee and saltfish, and always gotta brag some sour sop juice or peanut punch to wash it down.

This place is a childhood staple in Miami Gardens where I grew up and it will forever be a favorite of mine. The patties are always on point. Hot, flaky, stuffed to the brim with the filling of your choice. My favorite is the traditional beef patty mild or spicy both are absolutely delicious! There's no other food spot that can top a Hammond's patty! If you haven't tried please do asap. You won't be disappointed.
