The restaurant is beautiful and the service was great. I understand they are trying to do fusion food but the majority of the dishes we got felt overly seasoned, too sweet, salty, and savory at the same time without separation of flavors and textures. The entress are also quite small and some seem to be missing components like they should offer a side of rice or potatoes. The braised oxtail was lacking texture, and the meat was minced so much it had the texture of baby food. The cuban pork katsu was dry and needed more seasoning (the only dish that needed more) and really could benefit from a side other than a tiny salad, like potatoes/rice. The halibut was tiny and would have also benefitted from sort of carb-like side, like a buttery puree. I did enjoy the pork belly appetizer and the dumplings, but the onion soup was really salty. I feel like they need to include some fresh pallet cleansers, something cold and pickled and not sweet. I would go again because I liked the ambiance and service but I would probably stick to appetizers and skip out on the entrees.

Wow! I was super impressed with everything about this place! The food was amazing! Our server Evan was even better! Evan helped us with navigation the menu and made great recommendations. He was very attentive at all times. They had music which added to the vibe of the place. We will definitely be back!

Amelias did not disappoint! The food, the service, and the entire experience was amazing. Our server Evan, was beyond knowledgeable and truly took the time to explain each detail of the drink menu and food menu. Kudos to Eileen Andrade and her entire staff! Well done! ???? Can't wait to return!

This place is a gem. Was not expecting such a cool atmosphere in a very unassuming shopping strip. The minute you walk into this speakeasy like restaurant you forget where you are. The service was fantastic! Our waiter was one of the best I've encountered in a while (Evan). He made our experience that much more special. Drinks and food are outstanding. Highly recommend it, we will be coming back!

Amelia’s 1931 is a small cozy restaurant, dark lighted with a nice ambiance serving Cuban cuisine infused with Peruvian and Korean influences. Nice place but the incredibly loud music doesn’t allow you to hold a conversation. ?Don’t expect to walk in and be seated because you see empty tables. Reservations are required!Overall food is good but portions are small. Drinks are good but small pours for the price. The concept is good but doesn’t warrant the high prices. I think this restaurant can get better results with these prices in Miami Beach or Key Biscayne on the water or even in Coral Gables.022724

Attention to detail is everywhere. What a beautiful venue to enjoy time with loved ones. Plus the food is fantastic!! The sweet potato gnocchi was delicious as was the steak, croquettes and hummus appetizer. Then the Maria dessert with guava and cream cheese was to die for!

I had not been there since the renovation, and could not have been happier with my experience. The ambience, the food, and the service were outstanding. There was not one thing that we ate or drank that we didn't like. Already making plans to go with a different group next week.

Our server was great, like too good to be in that location. He should work in Luxury. The food is normal, nothing impressing and too heavy in the sauces, too spicy also. The best thing at Amelia's is the croquetas and the Timba desert! The ambiance is nice but the dry cleaning speakeasy is a phony look and is trying to hard. Not well executed from a design prerspective. Does not feel authentic.

First time in Amelia's 1931, fantastic food, and service. We got sat right away. Our server Willie was the best, my husband and I came down from Tampa. We were not disappointed. Drinks and food was delicious will go again the next time we're in town.

Love this place! Off the cuff experience. The passion poured into every square inch of the space and quality of food and drink shows in their attention to detail. We have been back twice already and will be back to explore the entire menu.

Great place and very nice atmosphere. It’s open late on Friday and Saturday with happy hour until 1:00 AM. This area needs more places like this.
