Where do I start ????. Walking in to the restaurant I was very well received and the own and his son couldn't have been any nicer... service was great...but I can for the food and I was HUNGRY.They had a good amount of options and luckily for me the had all my favorites. I had the baked chicken, Mac n cheese and canned yams with the cornbread...OMG the cornbread was sweet, soft and oh so moist???...the Mac and Cheese is probably the best Mac I've bought over the counter hands down. The chicken and yams where EPIC. The rice was alright.. probably the ONLY basic thing I ate. I was down there for the holidays but I definitely plan on returning before I leave. Overall experience and food was AMAZINGParking: Limited parking

I really wanted to love this place, but it was pretty disappointing. I ordered the fried chicken, Mac and cheese, and collard greens. The wings were so salty I couldn't even eat them. I also ordered a slice of pound cake and it was very stale and dry. I couldn't finish any of my food. The collard greens and Mac and cheese were okay, but that's about it.

This was my first soul food experience and to put it quite honestly I was very disappointed. The collard greens were disgusting, it was something I wouldn’t even feed to my dog. The food was dry, especially the cornbread which had no corn in it. Sadly I don’t recommend this place at all. I went with high anticipation and excitement to be let down like this. The only nice thing about this place is the murals on the wall.

I came here with my bestfriend it was her first time trying soul food and it was just not it. We couldn’t even finish our food she had to trow out her ribs because they were so dry the rice was undercooked grainy and hard the collard greens tasted like they were canned but at least the mac and cheese was decent dry but ok. I came here with very high expectations Because i had been seen their instagram for a while but sadly i left unsatisfied wont be coming back.

My experience at this restaurant was bad I tried them twice both times I wasn’t happy, the money you spending doesn’t match up with the food your receiving they give you a half of scoop of rice and just spread it out to make it look like it’s a lot I tried giving this down south restaurant a try but I will continue to drive up north where I don’t have this issue

Im so happy i found this place, this is my go to for my soul food fix. I usually order the bake chicken with yellow rice, mac n cheese, collard greens or yams very flavorful and cooked right. Can't wait to try some other menu options. The staff is friendly as well which is another reason ill keep returning. If you haven't yet pls check them out and support, its great to see black owned businesses in the area.
