Island Grill 184 AKA CARIBBEAN Deli-Mart is a must visit for the most tasty authentic Jamaican / Caribbean foods in South Miami. I’ve tried most of the dishes so far but my favorites are the Stew Peas and Rice, Curry Shrimps, Ackee and Salt Fish and Cow Foot. Their Bread Pudding is totally amazing. They also sell a wide variety of shelf grocery items. Check them out. You’ll be glad you did.

My husband has been coming to this place for a while now (since they reopened as Island Grill 184) but I hadn't tried it so we decided to stop by.The lady at the counter (who also prepared our meals) was so kind and considerate in ensuring our food was to our liking.I ordered the stew pork which she happily doused in gravy for me ? it was very authentically seasoned so I got those traditional Jamaican food vibes with the very 1st bite! I appreciated that the portion size was very generous and I was able to save half my food for later. My husband got the Oxtail. He described it as flavorful, fall-off-the-bone tender, and saturated in sauce that infused each piece of meat. He also mentioned that he loves that its not very oily, so that doesn't take away from the flavor profile. We were each offered a side if rice or "food". After asking for clarification I learned that this is a boiled medley dumplings, potato, banana, yams and carrots. We both ordered it and we so happy we did. All the components are perfectly softened (great for soaking up sauce) but not mushy. To drink I decided on a coconut water that did not disappoint. Not overly sweet or bitter at all, just refreshingly smooth with a light, yet crisp coconut flavor. The aesthetic isn't terribly appealing, as it looks like a small Carbbean grocery store, but that doesn't compromise the food quality a bit.

Their chicken soup is delicious! Served on Tuesdays. Their other dishes are freshly made every day and just like the good old time cooking.

Love this place. It is a take out restaurant and store. Ms. Bev is extremely friendly and knows how to cook delicious and authentic Caribbean dishes. I have tried the curry, oxtail, brown stewed chicken, stewed peas, pumpkin soup, red peas soup, cook-up salt fish, ackee and salt fish, and of course the j*** pork (best j*** pork in Miami). Super fresh and delicious dishes paired with excellent customer service is all that customers need to be loyal. Thanks Caribbean Deli-Mart for allowing me to experience the Caribbean islands through your dishes. I really love this place!

Delicious carryout food! Owner is Sooo pleasant and hard working! Home cooked the wonderful touch of Jamaican food. Price is fair and portions great! And ask for a little fresh pepper with your oxtail!! Yum! Never disappointed and been going for years!!

Love this place! It's a small Caribbean grocery store that sells cooked food! I love their fried dumplings, which are 40 cents each. Ordered the ackee & saltfish today for my mom. Ordered 6 fried dumplings just for me! Hee, hee! We've also had the mackerel run down which is also good. They sell salt beef, j*** seasoning, bun & cheese, crackers, hardo bread & all of the other things that Jamaicans want from back home. If you like Jamaica food, check it out!
