It is a really cool spot. We had ackee and salt fish with fried dumplings. It was awesome. Right kinda of spice and seasoning. The dumplings were light and fluffy so I bought more dumplings. I will recommend you dine in because atmosphere is calm and fun.

I wasn't going to leave a review but I'm sick of these restaurants taking advantage of good customers etc. I have several incidents here, but today I decided to say something because this was my last time giving them our money, and I know they may not care but oh well.. so many times we went here, sometimes our food seem played with, but the taste of the food is very good. The food is very small portions. And they give you the bad pieces of meat with not very much meat and this has happen several times, the prices are one way one day, and another the next... i remember them even shoving a diet soda in my bag when we asked for other soda not even diet, but didn't realize it til I got home; but today was the last days, cause at this point you know what you're doing wrong. I gave them many chances and trust me I said the food is good, but please check your order before you leave &receipt., They play with your food, and don't show any empathy... She also had us sign a receipt and the receipt she gave us was different price, I'm not accusing her of stealing but it did seem like it, and I didn't wanna make a fuss, because they will somehow try turn it on you..so my best bet is to stay away and not give them my money anymore, so just be careful.. I don't know if she's done this before and we did not notice.. but she's not that customer service friendly. I don't know what's going on maybe since Covid I'm not sure, but I see a lot of good reviews. And like I said the taste of the food is good.. but service not so good. I will not be returning cause I don't like people playing with my food and hardworking money, sadly to say I want be coming back, i have to go out my local area cause it's not any Caribbean spots near. Or at this point I just have to start cooking at home, services are getting worse and worse.

The food was good. It's hard to eat fish with so many bones, but it was cooked really well. The menu is on the wall which is convenient, I didnt get much assistance with the menu as a first time customer so I just got with a colleague ordered. The food did to take long to come out of the kitchen. The place is a bit small but cozy for an intimate gathering. We had a big group so it was hard to communicate with other people due to the length of the rectangular table. The restroom was clean, the music came on a about 20 mins of me being seated and the Caribbean music was a plus.Vegetarian options: They had vegetarian options like veggies but the veggies were good.Parking: The location shares parking with multiple businesses, so everyone is crammed together.

I was with family at another business in the same plaza and we got a craving for wings. This place is billed as a sports bar and happened to be around the corner so we decided to give it a try. When we walked in, it had a cozy neighborhood dive bar feel to it. Within 2 minutes, you realize that the "Cari" in the name must be short for Caribbean. The staff and menu have an island flair, mostly Jamaican it seemed. The service was great and many prices seemed fair (more on that later). It was that odd time between lunch and happy hour, so aside from a couple heavy hitting locals at the bar, the place was pretty empty. We were attended to quickly. Since it was a hot day, we really felt like sampling various draft beers, but their taps were not working (all of them) and their bottled beer selection was thin and limited to generic gas station brands (e.g. Budweiser variants, Heineken and Red Stripe). Wanting to go with the vibe, we stuck with Red Stripe, but it would have been great if there were a variety of of Caribbean beers available. We definitely would have stuck around after the meal to try them all. We ordered the Ellis wings and cheese fries. The wings were delicious, but one in our group thought they were way too spicy. Having a jerk and island-style seasoning, they were not like traditional buffalo wings (they have those too), but that's why we ordered them. They really were great. I recommend them to anyone that likes jerked meats and a little heat. My wife tried the Manish Water. It looks like a traditional, and very hearty stew, with a couple of non-traditional ingredients. She loved it, but I definitely recommend googling the ingredients before trying it yourself. As we were finishing, up a couple other families arrived that looked and sounded of Caribbean heritage, so that tells me the food is probably authentic and that's always a good sign. The three star review can be misleading since the food and service was good and I wouldn't mind giving it another shot if I was in the area. For transparency, I knocked off one star because this is a sports bar with ZERO beers on tap and the weakest bottle selection I have seen in a long time. I knocked off one other star because when the bill came at least one of the items had a price that was about 20% higher than what was advertised on the menu above the bar. I find that to be a deceptive and insulting practice that happens too often. Having an overhead menu is an easy fix for small restaurants to save on printing costs. They only have the one overhead menu here and could easily have updated it as prices needed to change, but it remained uncorrected and deceptive nonetheless. I understand inflation for products and labor and I regularly ignore a difference of 50 cents or a dollar, but a 20% difference should not go unnoticed. I'm not complaining about the actual price. I still would have ordered the same items, but false advertising irritates me and I always adjust a rating reflect it. If you're in the area, I recommend it. Hopefully they have resolved their beer problems and pricing inconsistencies by then. If not, I recommend checking out the brewery in the same plaza.

Magnicent food, hospitality, well-greeted, and can't wait to go back again. I can't wait till they put back the dj music on Friday whether dancing is allowed or not because it is entertaining and really makes the Caribbean flair even more flavorful and festive. I even loved the bammy, j*** chicken and j*** pork, curry goat, cheese quesadilla w j*** chicken . Rice and peas were delicious. No one else in Miami can make such delicious honey wings. Juicy, sift, and cooked perdectly
