I started off with the gazpacho and Caesar salad. I have to admit, I have never had gazpacho before so I completely forgot it is served cold. What I did not enjoy was the flavor, it tasted almost sour? And salty. We could not finish it. The salad was subpar. It was something you can make at home, if not worse. At home I make the dressing from scratch and the croutons from scratch, this was neither of those things. The lettuce seemed like those store bought pre cut chopped lettuce bags. The croutons were hard and seemed store bought as well. I have had some amazing Caesar salads before so this was disappointing. The server did suggest the cold cuts appetizer but we don't eat meat, so it would not have been worth it. I will say that the pizzas were good. We got the white pizza with mushrooms and that is the only reason I can give 3 stars. It was nicely cooked and tasty, but again, not the best pizza I have ever had. Maybe I tried the wrong items or went on the wrong day, but I do think you should give this place a shot if you want some Italian food nearby.

I haven’t been in Il Forno in a while. Continues to provide fantastic thin brick pizzas and great service. Bom apetite!

What a delight finding this local spot on a Sunday afternoon to enjoy some amazing food and company. We came for the pizza and were not disappointed! The Sausage and Gorgonzola, and the Quattro Stagioni were our selections. We also had one of their charcuterie boards with focaccia - mmm mm m! Our server was Ermal who is new to Miami, and we also met Art the owner - amazing guys and amazing vibe! Looking forward to coming back!Kid-friendliness: There were well-behaved children at the restaurant when we dined.

AVOID this place. Absolutely horrible service by young kids that have zero skills to serve in a restaurant. The young “waitress” had terrible ripped jeans by the knees. The margherita pizza is a cheese pizza not a real margherita pizza. It is advertised that it comes with basil but it doesn’t. For a $15 cheese pizza, I can just stay home and bake a $10 organic margherita pizza with real mozzarella, organic basil and san marzano tomatoe sauce. I was absolutely disappointed in this place.

So we found ourselves in South Miami running some errands and started getting a little hungry so we decided to try out Forno Italiano as we had heard the pizza was very good. Upon arriving we were greeted by the owner and he seated us pretty quickly. Turns out he was running solo at the time but nonetheless he was very attentive and provided excellent service. The restaurant is small but this is typical of many pizzerias in Italy so it almost made me feel I was not in Miami which was pretty cool. Not so small though as there is indoor and outdoor seating but you may want to show up early as I imagine they do get busy. Parking should not be a problem as there is street parking near the restaurant and a parking garage nearby as well. So I am not going to discount any of the other reviews that made comments about having received bad service; however, I can tell you that we had a wonderful time talking to Arton (the owner) and he could not have been nicer to us. After chatting for some time, it turns out that Arton has about 25 years experience in the pizza restaurant business and has been at the South Miami location for about 6 years now. Had nothing but great things to say about his customers as well and is pretty happy to be in the area. Arton hails from Albania but not to worry everyone as some of the very best Italian food I have had traveling abroad was in the Albania and Montenegro regions, which are just across the Adriatic Sea from Italy. Arton was raised in Italy, so you can consider him an honorary Italian. Noticed lots of orders coming in for pickup which is another indicator of quality food but he still made time to talk to us. So by now you may be wondering, hey Nelson, so what kind of pizza can we expect to get at this pizza joint man? Good question and glad you asked.... Forno Italiano specializes in Roman style pizza which tends to be thin and crispy whereas the Neapolitan style pizza tends to be a little more chewy and softer. Both pizza styles are awesome but I tend to lean towards the Roman thin and crispy style myself. So for our pizza experience we ordered two (2) 12" personal Burrattina Pizzas which were excellent. I added some prosciutto to mine to get swim protein in and it was perfect. For desert we tried the home made Tiramisu which was also delicious. The wood fire oven makes all the difference in the world and I can honestly say the pizza here is 100% legit. So if you are looking to try some great Roman style pizza, you definitely need to try Forno Italiano. Plenty of other options on the menu as well so something for everyone really. Wishing you all a great pizza experience! Enjoy and Bon Appétit m'es amis!

Service was ok but felt rushed. Pizza, Burratina, was tasty, 6 small slices, fresh basil was sparce at best. Had Antipasto Vegetariano. Very disappointing. But the most disappointing was the skimpy maybe 4oz pour of Sauvignon for an outrageous $14 with the excuse that they have to pay more for the wine so the customer needs to pay more. Will not return. We mentioned to skimpy pour and was met with the excuse and shoulder shrug.

Food is good but the owner is not very friendly. Don't eat in...you will be disappointed as they cater to uber first and you will wait for hours. If you Complain you will get yelled at.

Fantastic food and service. Definitely coming back! Pizza Carbonara was top! I don't really know why the review is 3 stars. Cozy family business, not overpriced for the location and the quality.

I highly recommend the best pizza in Miami; it is served in a very clean and pleasant establishment with extremely friendly owners.
